These range from die sets and guide elements through compression and gas springs as well as tool slides to forming materials, metal adhesives and casting resins. Over 40,000 items satisfy practically all the requirements of tool and mould making. Thanks to a sophisticated logistics system, we can ship worldwide just in time. The FIBRO laboratory is equipped with all relevant inspection methods to evaluate the characteristics of incoming materials: from microscopic examination of material s structure to spectral analysis of the chemical composition. In the climate-controlled measurement laboratory, we measure FIBRO products in the micrometer range. It is only after passing this stringent final inspection that the products start their journey to the customer the best insurance against unpleasant surprises! By the way: Our quality management system is validated regularly through issuance of certificates such as DIN-EN-ISO 9001:2000 and the quality standard VDA 6.4, Part 4, the primary document applied by the automotive industry to suppliers and production means. 4 Setting standards FIBRO continues to develop ground-breaking innovations for tool and mould making. Example: gas spring technology: For 25 years, FIBRO has been a pioneer in this field; since 1996, FIBRO gas springs have even set the international standard. And development continues, as demonstrated, for instance, by the Mould Line gas spring, which was designed specifically for mould making. Capable of withstanding ambient temperatures up to 120 C, this spring can replace latch locks and reduce costs by up to 70 percent. Gas springs Benefit for the customer Practically all catalogue items are in stock at all times. In addition, onequarter of the warehouse space is available for customer-specific parts. FIBRO maintains its own warehouses in France, the USA and India. These are backed up by distributor warehouses. In addition to a wide range of standard parts, they offer other services such as cutting to length or training on proper handling of gas springs. Precision when you need it The heart of the 3,600-square-meter logistics centre is a fully automatic high-bay warehouse with a state-of-the-art retrieval system. 40,000 different items can be shipped from stock. Order picking follows optimised paths and uses wireless data transmission to eliminate paperwork. A destination sorting system with adjacent parking lot guarantees a maximum level of service when shipping standard and special parts. Stocking and retrieval based on bar code reading and simultaneous inventory posting contribute to additional speed and reliability. Inventory levels and the number of items immediately available from stock are optimised on the basis of demand. For instance, tool and mould makers as well as machine manufacturers are familiarised with proper handling of gas springs and flex cam systems either at the FIBRO training centre or directly at the customer. Specialists from the FIBRO Service Department are, of course, also available to assist with installation. And if the situation becomes critical, FIBRO technicians are at your side worldwide.
