2 Purpose of Permitting Safety Mobility Of all the responsibilities that NCDOT has, few day-to-day functions have such a direct influence on highway safety and traffic operations as the review and approval of driveway permits.

4 Current Process Permits required for new developments and changes in use of property Dual approving signatures from county or municipality and NCDOT 6-8 week turn around on typical permits and 6-12 months for complex sites $50 Fee
