5 Real-World Experience As a Southwest Intern, you are treated like an Employee from the very first day you start. You will be challenged to push yourself and grow not only in your professional life, but your personal life as well. Previous Interns have written for our inflight magazine, assisted with ad campaign photo shoots, and helped design marketing strategies for new gate openings as well as various other activities that have a direct impact on the success of Southwest Airlines. Real-World Experience You will also be able to attend Career Development classes and events during the work day that will help you develop the skills that you need in order to succeed in the professional world. Workshops Events include: Myers-Briggs type indicator Career Day Days in the Field What s great about Southwest is that they let you get involved and actually participate in important activities. Just last week, I got to fly across the country to sit in on a customer chat with Southwest s CEO Gary Kelly and other senior level executives. Jackie Eagle, former Intern

Not only do you get to compete and have fun, but It s a great way to get to know the other interns, whom you don t necessarily get to see on a day-to-day basis.
