3 Taking the guess work out of your gas bill Making sense of your gas bill can sometimes be difficult but at Bord Gáis Energy we want to make things easier for you. We ve put together a short, simple explanation of the 6 most important points on your gas bill. 3 Mr Sam Sample, Any Street, Any Town, Any County 01 May Jul Jul Both current and previous meter readings are shown. Other payment options include Direct Debit, online, by phone, any retail outlet where you see the PayPoint, PostPoint and Payzone signs, or at any Post Office.

How does paperless billing work? Switching to paperless billing is a very simple process. Once you register for Online Account Management and select paperless billing you will no longer receive your bill in the post. Instead, you will receive an notification letting you know when your bill is available to be viewed online. Your online bill is an exact copy of the one you would normally receive in the post and you can print if required. Reducing the amount of paper you receive through the post is good for you and good for the environment, making paperless billing something you can feel better about. Setting up paperless billing, a simple process: Register for Online Account Management at bordgaisenergy.ie once registered, select paperless billing in the Make Me Paperless section. It really is as simple as that; with a few clicks of your mouse you will be set up for paperless billing and doing your bit for the environment.

9 We good food For heart health we should include fish twice a week in our diet. This recipe from the Irish Heart Foundation s new cookbook I Good Food is full of flavour, can be made with any fish choices and is heart warming too for those chilly Spring evenings. 1. Place the onion in a wide pan with the thyme, bay leaf, peppercorns and milk. Bring to the boil and simmer for 3-4 minutes. Set aside to infuse for 10 minutes, then strain and put the strained milk to one side. 2. Meanwhile, cook the potatoes in a pan of water for minutes until tender. Drain and mash until smooth and add enough milk to give a creamy but firm consistency. Place the eggs in a pan with water and simmer for minutes until hard-boiled, then shell and roughly chop. 9 Fish Pie Serves 4-6 Ingredients 1 small onion, roughly chopped 1 thyme sprig 1 small bay leaf a few black peppercorns 500ml (18fl oz) low fat milk, plus extra for the mashed potato 550g (1 1 /4 lb) potatoes, cut into chunks 3 eggs 750g (1 3 /4 lb) haddock, salmon, cod or whiting fillets or use a mixture 100g (4oz) mushrooms, sliced 1 tablespoon softened butter 2 tablespoons plain flour 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped freshly ground white pepper 3. Lower the fish fillets into the infused milk, then bring to a simmer and cook for 3 minutes or until the fish is just tender. Transfer to a plate, then roughly flake, discarding the skin and bones. Strain the milk you ll need 350ml (12fl oz) for the sauce. 4. Place the mushrooms in a small pan of boiling water for 2 minutes. Drain and set aside until needed. Melt the butter in a pan, then add the flour and stir over a low heat for 1 minute. Gradually add the strained milk, beating until smooth. Simmer for 2-3 minutes until nicely thickened. Season lightly with pepper and stir in the parsley. 5. Preheat the oven to 180 C/350 F/ Gas Mark 4. Layer up the flaked fish, hard-boiled eggs and mushrooms in an ovenproof dish with spoonfuls of the sauce. Spread the mashed potatoes on top and bake for minutes until bubbling and golden.
