For last year s agency Summer Slam, the Rostrum team embarked on a trip to the Kent coast for sun, sea and sand. This year we went a little more exotic with a weekend in Valencia, the third largest city in Spain. As well as fantastic food and nightlife, Valencia had some incredible sights for the culture vultures in the Rostrum team including performers, street art and beautiful buildings. The Rostrum team is close-knit and it was great fun to travel and spend time together outside of London and our usual Clerkenwell haunts! Along with other social activities, from team drinks and crazy golf to picnics and trips to the cinema, we have also banded together to raise more than 5000 for the Brain Tumour Trust and several other organisations that are close to the team s hearts. Activities like these help us to strengthen our team and give back to the community at the same time.

Our employees span a variety of backgrounds, ages and nationalities and have an impressive track record, having worked in some of the world s best known global PR agencies, specialist boutique firms and in high-powered in-house roles. As a group, our PR team represents more than 120 years of proven PR experience and expertise. Each of our employees is amazing in their own right, but together they are what makes Rostrum such a fun and rewarding place to work. And luckily, they seem to like us too. Rostrum s revenues will be more than 3m this year, and we want to expand the agency s range of services even further, with your help. Never stop learning Rostrum spends a huge amount of time training and developing our team. We hired 12 new people so far this year, employed 20 paid interns, promoted 8 team members and spent over 20,000 on training across the team, as well as countless hours of internal, on-the-job development. Everyone has a face-to-face monthly appraisal with their manager, everyone has clear objectives to work towards, and our annual staff turnover rate is just 11%. Alongside the monthly meetings with your managers and account teams, we hold a company meeting every month where employees can find out more about what s going on and ask questions about the company s plans and performance. Knowing how our employees feel about working for us is high on the agenda, too. We conduct regular employee opinion surveys and share the results and our plans to address any issues that have been raised with the entire team. This way, our employees know that we value their opinions and always feel well informed.
