The day can be sponsored or designated in honor of an entity such as an individual, organization, business, etc., by pairing the sponsorship with a meaningful day or anniversary. The benefits to are simple: generate revenue to cover meal cost, allowing for funds for occasional food shortages, and expansion of programs. For sponsors, the program not only provides a very low cost per thousand (a desired marketing outcome in any advertising program) it also enables sponsors to be seen as a caring community supporter: a business with a conscience. 2

6 Become a Sponsor Today Visit the on Your Sponsorship Day Sponsors have the option to volunteer, take a tour, enjoy a meal or do a group project on the sponsorship day. Sponsors can participate in all or none of these options. It is truly up to you! Volunteer Option Monday - Saturday, sponsors can provide up to 14 volunteers on their sponsorship day, with 6 people scheduled for the 7-10 a.m. food preparation shift and 8 people scheduled for 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. food service shift. On Sunday, sponsors can provide up to 8 volunteers from 7-11 a.m. Volunteer commitment must be made at least 30 days prior to the sponsorship day to ensure the number of volunteers can be accommodated. The total number of volunteers must be guaranteed 14 days before your scheduled sponsored day. Please note that the volunteers you are providing are relied upon for that day. Tour and Meal Option Tour the Soup Kitchen and Hanifen Center. Walk in the shoes of a typical Soup Kitchen Guest by going through the serving line and enjoying a meal in the dining room. Take appropriate photos with your group to share with Board of Directors, business associates, employees, etc. Group tours including lunch of more than 5 people need to be planned 30 days in advance. Group Projects Option Some Sponsors have elected to pass out socks, gloves or hygiene packs. Ask us how you can do the same. Group projects must be planned 30 days in advance. 6
