This allows for all parties to maximise usage and reduce cost in equipment, labour and stationery. The detailed reporting and web based format allows secure yet easy access to the data, facilitating the production of financial & operating reports. This in turn is fully integrated as standard with our whitelist power management tool, allowing ease of access via handheld, PDA, iphone or other smartphones. parkbytext offers unrivalled flexibility ranging from account registration to one-off payments and visitor text parking. Customers can simply create a parking pass by text, app, online, phone or by parkbytext 2Bill, a recent addition to service provided, and a European first. 2Bill enables users to add the cost of their parking directly to their mobile phone bill or credit. Tariffs can be set for each location and text reminder options can be set to notify drivers to remind them that their parking session is due to expire. Varying commercial arrangements can be made to include the cost of the service within the parking tariff or as a convenience / service charge on top. 5 Technical Services Provided Over the past 6 years parkbytext has provided clients with the services detailed below. Whitelist This is where every transaction through parkbytext is placed automatically on the Whitelist for a specified period of time, so that the enforcement officer is aware that the car is legitimately parked i.e. paid up, staff, authorised vehicle, or has a virtual permit. Account Holder & Non-account Holder parkbytext customers can also be a non-account holder with approximately 15% using this method of payment. Apps & Pre-pay online parkbytext is seeing a big shift to drivers using the app as the preferred method of payment and control of their account. Up to 50% of transactions originate from the app. Corporate Accounts Corporate accounts are for business customers who have multiple vehicles associated with one business account. Virtual Permits parkbytext are seeing many clients moving to Virtual Permits and using the Whitelist to control them. This reduces the cost of administration and paper permits over time. Enforcement and reporting is the same as all systems are fully integrated with POAM (parking operations and management), the parkbytext software system, and the Whitelist to the back office and enforcement personnel. ANPR Automatic Number Plate Recognition In certain jurisdictions enforcement is via automated tickets. This allows parkbytext to record a vehicle when entering and exiting the parking area and to bill them accordingly. Alternativlely, a fine can be issued if enforcement is required. i #parkbyapp

6 Technical Services Provided (continued) Over the past 6 years parkbytext has provided our clients with the services detailed below. Visitor Parking Visitor parking has a variable cost, which is billed to the customer s mobile. This short code text-based system works very well where revenue is not the key driver and or short stay / low tariff parking maybe applicable i.e. motorcycle bays, taxi ranks, loading bays. The benefit is not so much the revenue but to keep a record of who is parking, when and how often. The vehicle is placed automatically on a whitelist like all other parkbytext transactions. Telecommunications Support Both the SMS and IVR numbers belong to the client. parkbytext constantly monitor and amend, where necessary, communication channels text, IVR, apps, web and call centre, which is open 24/7, 365 days of the year. Reporting parkbytext provides real-time reporting using the parkbytext back-office web system called POAM. Clients have their own logins to see all information relating to their locations. Bespoke reports are issued based on client s desires and requirements with realtime data to suit clients needs. Enforcement & Operation Support parkbytext supports the full operation of a phone payment system and ensure that the current phone system is at the very least replicated so there is no loss of customer know-how or satisfaction. parkbytext 2Bill Direct Carrier Billing parkbytext 2Bill allows customers to pay for their parking using theirmobile phone bill or credit. This was a first in the European parking sector and offers customers another way of parking with greater convenience and ease. Banking & Accounts Support includes: Taking payment card details from the customer and maintaining the customers E-wallet Opening and closing accounts Accounting for refunds on account closures and correct any valid incorrect transactions Reconciling, banking and reporting Transferring all parking transaction monies as decided

7 Virtual Permits Parking with no Permit? Virtual Permits are the answer! To make full use of electronic and web services virtual or e-permits are the way forward. This has major benefits in reducing costs, administration and they are environmentally friendly. Real-time updates to the enforcement operator s handheld device Integrated with ANPR (automatic number plate recognition) As the traditional method of identifying vehicles by displaying a hardcopy permit subsides, virtual permits are key to the future of parking management in reducing cost and being more environmentally friendly. The problem arises in maintaining a customer and client focused operating system to ensure the management and issue of permits is controlled and easy to use. In practice the car registration plate becomes the permit. Once the car registration plate is registered with parkbytext the vehicle can be parked within the rules at that location. Primarily the registering of vehicles should be online but applications via post or in person may be need to be adopted for customers without access to the internet. Renewals can also be done by , text, or post on request. parkbytext fully integrates with our whitelist POAM tool which allows for the ease of web-based reports, interfacing with the enforcement operator s handheld device and providing the client with the ability to monitor and manage the level of permit issues and income. In summary virtual permits by parkbytext are advantageous as they: Reduced costs for administration and stationery Are environmentally friendly Fully integrated with the Whitelist power management tool Online web-based reporting Enforcement and management are made more efficient Can be used with ANPR (automatic number plate recognition) systems

8 Visitor Text Service parkbytext visitor text service uses mobile phone short code technology to record a visitor parking session via the whitelist management system. The visitor text service provided by parkbytext can alleviate the need for temporary paper permits, administration, and phone calls whilst generating automated reports and income with just a small charge to the driver by text! A simple text generated by the motorist will update their details to our database e.g. temp 1005 (location code) abc1234 (vehicle registration). Once captured the information is instantly updated to CEO s handheld, PDA, iphone or other smartphone device. Parking durations can be set for specified times e.g. hourly, daily or for a number of minutes as required and rules such as maximum usage per week can also be added. Reports can then be generated via the whitelist management system to track all vehicles registered and monitor payment levels. Texts can also be supplemented with premium rate phone numbers to automatically record vehicle details by voice over IVR if so required. This simple payment and registration method allows for a powerful management tool for the local authority / property owner. It also provides a low cost payment solution to the motorist where parking charges are not solely required and identification is key. Additionally there is a substantial saving in back office cost, stationery and parking equipment maintenance. Trouble monitoring visitor or temporary spaces both long or short stay?
