BASE PROPOSAL Having examined the Place of The Work and all matters referred to in the Instructions to Offerors, Bid Documents and Contract Documents prepared by the Architect for the above mentioned project, we the undersigned, hereby offer to furnish all materials, labor, tools, and equipment to complete this project, and propose to enter into a Contract to perform the work for the Contract Sum of: dollars $ 00 in lawful money of the United States of America. 2. ACCEPTANCE We have examined the site and the Contract Documents and in submitting this proposal we agree to the following: - This offer shall be open to acceptance and is irrevocable for forty-five (45) days from the proposal closing date. - A Bid Bond as required by the Instructions to Offerors and Performance and Labor Bond is included as specified. - A contingency allowance as specified in Section is included in the Contract Amount. - All applicable taxes are exempt upon certification by Burton ISD. - We shall commence work immediately of receipt of Notice to Proceed by Burton ISD. - We shall furnish the required bonds and insurance within seven (7) days of receipt of Notice of Award in the form described in Supplementary Conditions. - All permits shall be delivered through the Contractor. - To accomplish all work in accordance with the Contract Documents. 3 DIVISION of 3 If this proposal is accepted within the time stated, and we fail to commence the Work or we fail to provide the required Bond(s), the security deposit shall be forfeited as damages to the Owner by reason of our failure, limited in amount to the lesser of the face value of the security deposit or the difference between this proposal and the proposal upon which the Contract is signed. 3. PROPOSAL ALTERNATES Provide the following prices for the alternates listed below. If accepted by the Owner selected alternates will be added or deducted from the base proposal amount. 1. DELETE new wood stage flooring and sub-flooring as shown on drawings and as specified. Existing stage flooring shall remain. New added stage area shall match existing and entire stage to be re-finished to match what was existing. DEDUCT dollars ($) ADD an extended warranty for the 15 ton Carrier unit. Contact JB & Associates at ADD dollars ($) UNIT PRICES Concrete Sidewalks: Provide unit cost for additional sidewalks as described in the construction documents for Owner s discretion to delete or add to other locations. a.) $ per square foot 5. CONTRACT TIME If this proposal is accepted, we will: Complete the Work in consecutive calendar days from Notice to Proceed. Liquidated damages for days beyond proposed days indicated will be as set forth in of the Supplemental Conditions or as otherwise agreed at contract signing. 6. 5 Burton ISD Rock Building Project Addendum #1 MEP NARRATIVE 1. The 25 ton unit was show on the schedule utilizing the ARI values for reference. 2. Verify exact location of stage lighting prior to mounting. 3. The Condensing units shall be provided with low ambient controls, evaporator defrost control as required to allow operation down to 0F ambient, anti short cycle relay, timed off control, hail guards, and 5 year compressor warranty. 4. The contractor shall determine the exact lengths of the refrigerant lines required and submit to the manufacturer for required sizing of the refrigerant piping. 5. The contractor shall install the equipment and refrigerant piping per the manufacturer s recommended installation instructions. 6. In order to accomplish defrost control the Motormaster component KAAFT0101AAA or HH18HB031 must be utilized in order for the defrost control option to function properly. 7. Provide hail guard(s) for all exterior equipment component number 38ap Provide any and all other components as recommended by the equipment manufacturer for proper operation of the equipment. 9. Commercial equipment from Carrier has 1 year parts warranty from date of installation or 18 months from date of shipment from the factory, whichever is the first to occur. The compressor has a 5 year warranty. 10. Provide separate cost as indicated on revised bid form for extended warranty for commercial Carrier systems over 15 tons.
