Supreme HDPE pipes are manufactured from virgin raw materia with the hep of state of the art manufacturing faciities. In DI pipe, anticipated surge pressures are the highest. Surge pressure in PE is 44% ess than in PVC and 81% ess than in DI. PE withstands surges up to 10 % of design pressure. When PE is used, piping system components are subjected to a significanty ower surge.

6 Poyethyene Piping System ButtWeding (procedure) Check the Wa Aignment and Gap The aignment of the two parts shoud be checked at the same time. A possibe misaignment on the outside must not exceed 10% of the thickness of the wa (Fig 5). If this imit is exceeded, a better camping position is to be sought by rotating the pipe. In such a case, however, the surface must be repaned. Important The weding surfaces must be paned immediatey prior to the jointing. Once it has attained the fusion temperature, position the heating eement in the buttweding machine. Press the parts to be joined against the heating eement with the force required for equaization unti the entire circumference of each of the jointing faces rests competey against it and a bead has formed. Reduce the equaization pressure amost to zero. The heating time isted in the tabe beow is measured from this moment. Leave parts in the buttweding jointing machine at weding pressure unti the end of the cooing period. Once the heating period has eapsed, remove the parts from heating eement, which shoud then be removed without touching the jointing surfaces and push the parts together immediatey. The change over time must not exceed the vaue isted in the tabe. Pay particuar attention during jointing that the parts be moved together swifty unti the surface are about to touch. Then they shoud be moved together so that they are in contact aong the entire circumference. Next the pressure shoud be increased rapidy to the present jointing within the period of time specified in the tabe beow. This pressure must be necessary, especiay shorty after the jointing pressure has been attained. (Fig 6) The jointing parts must stay in the weding machine under jointing pressure unti the end of the cooing period specified in the tabe. Weding bead checks A bead shoud form around the entire circumference of the pipe. Jointing of twoip point shoud be above the pipe circumference means aways being positive.
