7 Directive 28/2009/EC introduces the obligation for EU countries to submit a plan to promote the use of renewable energy, the NREAP This plan sets national targets for each Member State for the share of energy from renewable sources consumed in transport, electricity and heating and cooling in 2020, as well as the respective paths of penetration according to the pace of the implementation of measures and actions planned in each of these sectors, taking into account the effects of other policies related to energy efficiency in energy consumption. It was also established that the plan should be revised 2 in 2 years.
