Since the commissioning of its first project viz. Tehri Dam a multipurpose project on the river Bhagirathi in and Koteshwar HEP (400 MW) in , We are a profit making organization. Tehri Dam project started with the status of a project of 'National Significance' during its planning stage and was successfully commissioned in spite of stringent opposition during its implementation. Response- THDCIL Corporate Contracts generally deals those cases wherein Competent Authority for award of tenders is Board of Directors or CMD. Generally, these cases are for procurement of Rs Crore and above. However, there are certain exemptions in case of Consultancy and computer related procurements. of Sh. First is Steam Generator and Associated Packages including site leveling for Khurja Super Thermal Power Plant (2X660=1320MW) and the second one is for Selection of Mine Developer and Operator (MDO) for Amelia Coal Mine Allocated to THDCIL for implementation of Khurja Super Thermal Power Plant. Response- In order to get desired response for a particular tender THDCIL upload tender documents on Central Public Procurement Portal (CPPP) i.e. TALKING POWER and on our website in cases of Single, Limited or Open Tender. In addition we also publish Notice Inviting Tender in newspapers. Apart from this for procurement of standardized items THDCIL also opt for GeM Portal. Question- What is the basic mandate which your team always strives for? Response- The basic mandate which our team constantly strives for is to make all procurement at most competitive price in a transparent manner by way of selection of a Competent Contractor/Vendor so that the desired work/procurement can be done in a time bound manner and desired results are obtained serving the best interest of THDCIL. 14
