5 Development of the container Shipowner Malcolm McLean first used a container for a delivery by sea freight in U.S.A. in the implementation of the ISO-container had been a substantial condition for the globalization of the world economy - the turnover rate of ready goods had been increased essentialy by container - today, two thirds of the world trade are being processed by container

6 Standard - Container The Abbreviation TEU (Twenty Foot Equivalent Unit) is the international standardized unit for container. This unit is being used worldwide to state capacity of ships, freight terminals and harbors. Standard-Container-Types:
