5 Historical Overview CSAYN is consists of volunteers (based in 22 African countries, Pakistan, India, Indonesia, Myanmar, Bangladesh, USA, and Canada). Now, CSAYN has 28 operational countries Our project originated from the concern of young Africans on the impacts of climate change on agriculture, food security, the environment, and an interest to create awareness on young people.

10 Activities: Ethiopia Pakistan Ghana Gambia Kenya Nigeria Establish CSA national forums aimed at lobbying for youth engagement in CSA related initiatives in their countries Organize bi-annual youth conference on CSA for national forums and their member to share their experience and learn from others experience Design farmer field schools to enable farmers to share their field experience with each other Create a social media presence and an online database to share infromation and current findings on CSA, nationally and globally Represent and showcase youth engagement in CSA in different regional and global forums
11 Vision Engaging youth world wide towards a resilient environment through climatesmart agriculture. Mission Raise awareness among young men and women (aged 18-35yo) to enable them to make decisions for the future in the agriculture sector Create awareness of the related to climate chage and agriculture Make youths aware of the contributions they can make in the agriculture sector for a better future, especially through the application of climate-smart practices in both agriculture and forestry Enhance meaningful youth controbution in livestock, fisheries, and aquaculture activities
12 Goals of CSAYN: Encourage youth to develop their own ways of contributing to sustainable development at the local, national and regional levels by conducting social project related on Climate-Smart Agriculture. Raise-awareness and create a platform for information sharing among youth about Climate-Smart Agriculture practices; Engage youth and others partner on related sector through special training activities where youth will learn how to develop their team and lead their own social projects that address region s contexts, priorities and needs. Projects Partner: NGO Academic Institutional Goverment Stakeholder Local Farmers or Local People Youth Groups or communities Target Groups: Youth Women PLWD (group aged between 18-35y)o
13 Expected Results: Increased understanding of CSA and the crucial role of youth in promoting CSA. CSA is integrated in educational systems (inter alia schools, colleges and clubs) through activities in local gardens, farms and forests gardening, also potential activities within forestry and fisheries industries; Development of CSA country-specific reports on activities and recommendations; Increased awareness-raising of youth and people with disabilities on CSA issues.
