2 Program Overview: In an effort to help clients succeed in today s workplace, Tyler Technologies is proud to offer an EnerGov certification program designed to help build and demonstrate competencies in both administrative and functional areas. Acquiring an EnerGov Certification will help provide you with up-to-date and relevant skills that can be used every day to help your municipality realize maximum benefits from EnerGov. Methodology: EnerGov certifications are continually evaluated and updated to ensure their relevance to the latest software release. All courses conclude with a final exam designed to test the skills required to use the EnerGov application and to perform the necessary job functions for that competency area. Our rigorous exams go well beyond testing routine knowledge or terminology; attendees must apply their knowledge by analyzing technical solutions, solving problems, and making decisions. All certifications expire 1 year from the exam date. EnerGov certifications can be acquired in one of three ways. Instructor-Led Training: EnerGov software trainers are equipped to teach both the functionality as well as the administrative aspects of the EnerGov applications. Their years of training experience will be evident as they lead you through the appropriate materials, assist in hands-on activities, share industry and client best practices and customize the training around your needs, learning styles and EnerGov experience. You will also have the opportunity to interact with other EnerGov clients from across the United States and beyond. These courses require a four-person minimum and will be cancelled one month before if the registration minimum has not been met. Virtual /GTM: In 2018, Tyler Technologies offers EnerGov clients the ability to be certified online through our Virtual Labs. Once you register for a course, which the location says Virtual GTM, clients will be sent a URL key to access the virtual lab software. This is an instructor lead opportunity with hands-on instruction and Q&A sessions (each person is required to have a computer). The Virtual Lab software allows the instructor to view your screen and help when you need it! It also reduces the travel time and cost for your municipality. We only have 12 spaces per course with the Virtual Labs, so sign up fast! If you are interested in our Virtual Lab program, please contact Wendy Steiner at wendy.steiner@tylertech.com for program details. We offer over 150 courses a year! Test for Credit: EnerGov clients may attempt to test out of two certification courses per year in order to acquire additional certifications. Only one attempt on each exam will be allowed in a 12- month period. Each Test for Credit exam costs $300. Participants that earn above an 80% will receive a Certification.

5 Certification Program 2018 System Administration Course Description: Designed for individuals who will be responsible for administering the EnerGov application, including how to setup users, custom fields, reports, hearings, districts, departments and other administrative tasks. Also included is information on how to manage upgrades of the main EnerGov application. Course Cost: $3,000 per person (does not include travel or other related expenses) EnerGov Modules Covered: EnerGov s System Setup Module, Navigation with GIS/Spatial Collections, Contact Management, User Setup and User Roles, Custom Fields, Workflow Basics and Configuration, Cashiering Fee Basics/Templates and Variations, Reports and Documents Basics Suggested Attendees: Individuals who will be administering the EnerGov product or who will be responsible for various components of setup and configuration of the application. Course Time: 32 hours The following topics will be offered as a part of the System Administration Certification: Topic EnerGov Navigation with GIS/Spatial Collections Custom Fields Contact Management User Setup and User Roles Cashiering Fee Basics/Templates and Variations Reports and Documents Basics Description Topics include understanding GIS Map viewer functionality that includes: using different icons and their functionality, selection tools, navigation tools, manage feature tools, map tools, compass tool and spatial collections. Understanding how to create spatial collections and link/create records in EnerGov. Understand what custom fields are and how they can be used. Learn the different types of custom fields that can be added to a layout, including how to include tabs on a layout. Understand how the database name of custom fields will be used throughout EnerGov. Learn how to connect the custom field layout to a type/work class and to an activity. Understand the implications of using custom fields through the Citizen Access Portal. Explain the functionality of global contacts and best practices for contacts. Ability to create a new global contact and associate it to a record. Ability to setup contact types and certification types. Understand how to validate licenses for individuals and how to configure license validation for various contact types. Learn how to create a new user in EnerGov & how to de-activate an existing user. Understand the relationship between a user and a role. Learn how to customize security settings for user roles. Learn how to restrict access for user roles. Identify the Cashiering Customization features located on the district setup pages. Understand user permissions with regards to fees as determined by User Role setup. Explore Fee Schedules, GL Accounts and Payment Methods. Understand the relationship between Fees and Standard and/or Custom Fields (Fee Inputs). Configure the four basic types of fees: Calculated, Percentage, Adjustable, and Fixed. Configure fee minimums and maximums, rounding, fee input expression, time tracker fees, discounts, constants. Configure Fee Rounding. Configure a basic fee template and associate the fee template to a type/class combination in another module. How to setup Districts, Departments and Holidays and where these items are used in the application. How to configure and manage Meetings and Hearings, as well as how tasks function in the EnerGov application. How to configure Conditions, Holds, and Bonds and where these items are used in the application. How to define a business process and translate it into an EnerGov workflow, navigate successfully through a workflow and configure all actions and steps necessary to reflect the business process on a workflow template. 7 GIS/IO/Geo Rules Administration Course Description: An in-depth overview of how to use EnerGov s GIS module, Intelligent Object setup and Geo Rules setup. These topics will help to initiate and create new EnerGov maps, configure Geo Rules, manage Live-Link connections and create processes such as permits, plans and code enforcement cases. Course Cost: $2,000 per person (does not include travel or other related expenses) EnerGov Modules Covered: EnerGov s GIS Overview and Setup Menus, History Writer, Inspection and Reviewer Assignment, Geo Rules, Intelligent Object, Intelligent Automation Agent, Live Link, Parcel Manager, GIS Links and Mailing Templates and Spatial Collections. Suggested Attendees: GIS professionals, System Administrators and others interested in learning more about EnerGov s GIS/Intelligent Objects/Geo Rules setup. Note: Attendees should have a basic understanding of GIS principles and should be familiar with ESRI s suite of products. This course does not teach ESRI s software products. How to setup Live Link to spatially relate parcels and addresses together. Where and when is Live Link used in EnerGov. Setup of the Assignment layers and zones, Inspections, Review Items and EnerGov Windows Service components. How to setup and generate mailing templates and reports to be generated directly from GIS. Configure links, GIS selections on the map, create records form the GIS map, setup mailing templates and create mailing template from the GIS map. How to create and manage the history information written by EnerGov. How to initiate Geoquery setup and Geo Rule configuration. Intelligent object overview and intelligent object configuration. How to create and manage spatial collections and the necessary map layers. At the completion of the course an assessment will be given. 8 Crystal Reports Course Description: Beginner: This Quick Start course is designed to teach the basic fundamentals of report design such as sorting, filtering data, grouping, drill-down reporting and providing automated summary totals. Students do not need any previous experience working with Crystal Reports but do need to be able to navigate a windows environment. Any familiarity with database tables, fields and records is a plus. Advanced: This course is designed to teach the Crystal Report designer more intermediate to advanced techniques needed to develop more complex reports. Hands-on exercises are used to teach all the techniques needed to develop more complex reports. Students must be familiar with basic design techniques such as sorting records using the Record Expert, filtering records using the Select Expert and grouping reports using the Group Expert. We will also learn about EnerGov s report tool kit. This is a set of database views for all modules that loads into the database, which allows clients to develop reports. Course Cost: $3,000 per person/ per session (does not include travel or other related expenses) Suggested Attendees: Individuals who will be responsible for writing and updating any reports in the EnerGov Enterprise System. This course will not make you a Crystal Reports expert. Course Time: 32 hours total Beginner course is 8 hours. Advanced course with database is 24 hours. 9 PMM Public Maintenance Management (Asset Mgmt.) Course Description: An in-depth overview of how to use EnerGov s PMM Public Maintenance Management application, formally known as Asset Management. It a GIS-centric application that consumes both ArcGIS Server and ArcGIS Online map services and utilizes Geocode services to pull in additional Spatial Data. PMM is an application that effectively tracks, manages and reports on maintenance cost accrued when maintaining public infrastructure assets through the creation and management of work orders. It is also intended to track and maintain the condition of an asset throughout the lifetime of the asset based on a number of configurable condition assessment variables. Course Cost: $2,000 per person (does not include travel or other related expenses) Suggested Attendees: This is a beginner class for any municipality interested in using this application with little experience with the application. Course Time: 24 hours The following topics will be offered as a part of the PMM Asset Management Certification: Topic PMM Navigation Introduction to GIS Admin System Setup Asset Creation & Mgmt Maintenance Area Creation Creating & Managing Work Orders Recurring Maint. & WO Templates Inventory Management Inventory Setup Creating & Managing Work Requests System Admin/Installation System & GIS Administration Exam Description Topics include utilizing dashboards as quick information tools, widgets, action items toolbar, and main toolbar. 10 Code/ ig Enforce/Licensing Course Description: IG Enforce: Designed for individuals who will be using EnerGov s mobile ig Enforce. This certification is focused on improving the user experience by providing a comprehensive understanding of how integrates with the main EnerGov application. Request/Code: An in-depth overview of the Request Management module and how to track all citizen and internal requests/complaints that require follow up inspections. This session will teach how to escalate a Request to a Code case or how to create a Code case alone. Business Licensing: This session is an overview of the administrative tasks involved in the licensing phase of the license intake process. This hands-on course will teach the end user how to create, input and manage business licenses. Business License management, functionality and best practices will be discussed along with management of the active workflow, collection of fees, and license life-cycle. The renewal process and configuration will complete this session. Professional Licensing: This session will teach the user how to create, input and manage Professional Licenses. Professional License management, functionality and best practices will be discussed along with management of the active workflow, collection of fees, license life-cycle and the renewal process. Module menus (setup, viewer, and reports) will be introduced, records created, searches created and best practices discussed. Discuss all functionality of the top menu bar, left hand panel tool bar, and middle tool bar. Understand GIS Map viewer functionality that includes: using different icons and their functionality, selection tools, navigation tools, manage feature tools, map tools, compass tool and spatial collections. Understand how to create spatial collections and link/create records in EnerGov. Explain the functionality of global contacts and best practices for contacts. Understand the differences between Global Contacts and Business information. To teach the end user how to create, input and manage business licenses. Business License management, functionality and best practices will be discussed along with management of the active workflow, collection of fees, and license life-cycle. The renewal process and batch processing procedures and best practices. Users will learn the functionality of the Tax Remittance module from the billing cycles, collecting fees and past due periods. The User will configure the Business License and Tax Remittance modules to complete this session. Users will learn how to use the Request Management module to track all citizen and internal requests/complaints that require follow up inspection, including all relevant data entry and reports. Fundamentals and practical aspects of request management, especially with regards to entering a request in EnerGov Server and how to create a code case should the violation exist or close the request by updating the status should the complaint be unfounded. This session will teach the creation of a Code case, invoicing and processing fees, inspections and adding violations as necessary with the ultimate goal being to close the case. In this course, users will learn where to go to print code letters such as the Notice of Violation, Notice of Citation, Lien Notices, and Courtesy Notices (either via Documents tab or from the workflow, depending on your setup) and configuration of the module. Users will be able to configure the Code module from Code category to Code Case Type. This session will teach the end user how to create, input and manage Professional Licenses. Professional License management, functionality and best practices will be discussed along with management of the active workflow, collection of fees, license life-cycle and the renewal process. 12 CSS Citizen Self Service Course Description: Designed for individuals who will be responsible for administering EnerGov s Citizen Self Service portal. The main focus will be on how to manage the site configuration options, as well as configuring the system to provide external access to EnerGov s information. At the end of the training course, candidates are well versed in all of the key functional and technical components that are comprised within the CSS Administration Website. The certification program is designed to allow candidates to successfully demonstrate the mastery of several fundamental functions within the CSS Administration Website. Course Cost: $2,000 per person (does not include travel or other related expenses) EnerGov Modules Covered: Citizen Self Service Suggested Attendees: Individuals who will be administering the client facing portal Citizen Self Service, or others who will be responsible for various components of setup and configuration of the application. Course Time: 24 hours The following topics will be offered as a part of the CSS Citizen Self Service Certification: Topic Basic CSS Functionality Understanding Technical Architecture Configure Case Types Configure Case Type Categories Configure Menu System Configure Global Notifications Configure New Jurisdiction Exam Description An introduction to the web portal and how jurisdictions use it for various processes; this will create a solid foundation of understanding around the core features that are available for citizens to use the content will be centered around activities such as applying for permits, applying for plans, interacting with saved drafts, requesting inspections, using the GIS maps, searching for information, interacting with invoices, utilizing the electronic shopping cart, understanding the dashboard, registering for user accounts, etc. An introduction to the overall architecture of the CSS suite of applications; the purpose of this item is to provide an understanding of the relationships and dependencies between EnerGov and the various CSS components; includes upgrading an existing instance. How to create, view, and modify case types (for permit types and plan types) using the CSS Admin site; this is helpful in understanding how to map existing EnerGov permit types and plan types to CSS case types. How to create, view, and modify case type categories (for permit types and plan types) using the CSS Admin site; this is essentially important for grouping together similar permit types and plan types, in an intentional attempt to provide tools to guide citizens into applying for the right cases. How to view and modify the menu system; this will illustrate how to specify the items within the menu, the order in which the menu items appear, and the relationships between the parent/child elements of the menu system. How to create, view, and modify global notifications using the CSS Admin site; this tool is useful for communicating public information to citizens at any time. How to create, view, and modify a jurisdiction using the CSS Admin site; this is the first step in the configuration process, which enables the other configurations to begin. 14 Land Management Course Description: Plan Module: This session will cover the administrative tasks involved in the plan intake process. The basics of the plan application process, from submitting an application, to invoicing and processing fees, to creating sub plans will be introduced. Users will learn how to use Manage My Reviews, use the Planning Widgets, and how to add Corrections, Recommendations, and Conditions to a plan case. The user will have an understanding of the End User screens and all configuration of the module. ereviews: An in-depth overview of how to perform plan reviews using EnerGov s ereview software. Upon completing the course, users will understand how to accept electronic plans, perform electronic markups and collaborate electronically with architects, engineers and builders. Permit Module: This session will cover the basics of the permit application process, from application of an over-the-counter permit to more complex processes to permit issuance and renewing permits. Users will become familiar with the basic workflow concept introduced in this course. How to apply and manage client specific Conditions and Holds, as well as how to track applicable Bonds. The user will have an understanding of the End User screens and all configuration of the module. Inspection Module: This session will teach Users how to create, schedule and access inspection information directly from the workflows of the linked records. At the end of this course, users will be able to schedule inspections from both the workflow, by querying and retrieving the correct inspections directly in the Inspections module and retrieve vital inspection information. Checklist items and the role they play in gathering and storing vital inspection information will be covered. Manage my Inspections, the My Inspections Widget and the Quick Screen will be covered. The user will have an understanding of the End User screens and all configuration of the module. IG Inspect: Designed for individuals who will be using EnerGov s mobile ig Workforce application ig Inspect. This certification is focused on improving the user experience by providing a comprehensive understanding of how the application integrates with the main EnerGov application. Course Cost: $3,000 per person (does not include travel or other related expenses) EnerGov Modules Covered: EnerGov s Navigation, Permit Module, Plan Module, ereviews, ig Inspect App, Inspection Module and IVR Suggested Attendees: Planners, Engineers and others who need to know how to markup electronic plans. Students should have a working knowledge of EnerGov s Plan Management module for ereviews. Users will become familiar with the basic workflow concept introduced in this course. How to apply and manage client specific Conditions and Holds, as well as how to track applicable Bonds. Permit Calculator and Valuation will be used to process fees. From the Permit Activities to the Permit Type, users will learn how to configure the permit module. At the end of this course, students will be able to schedule inspections from both the workflow, by querying and retrieving the correct inspections directly in the Inspections module and retrieve vital inspection information. Checklist items and the role they play in gathering and storing vital inspection information will be covered. Manage my Inspections, the My Inspections Widget and the Quick Screen will be covered. The User will configure the Inspection module from the Checklist items to the Inspector Types. The user will have an understanding of the End User screens and all configuration of the module. This session will teach Users how to use the IG Inspect app on an IPad to view daily inspections with a map interface. This app will allow users access to view and complete inspection details such as associated contacts, inspection history and holds. Inspectors will be able to review inspections using checklist items and attach pictures from the site. IG Inspect will automatically track time as the inspection is performed to better assess how much time is needed for re-inspections or to organize

16 Exam time schedules for future inspections. Inspectors will learn how to digitally sign inspections and distribute the inspections summary via or printing. At the completion of the course, an assessment will be given. Participants that earn above an 80% will receive a certification. Only one attempt on each exam will be allowed in a 12-month period.
