Elastocoat C 6830 is a product from the family of compact polyurethane elastomers for a broad range of pipeline protection. it has been designed following 10 years experience gained from projects together with Mediterranean Sea pipe manufacturers and applicators. Traditional experience in polyurethane chemistry allows BASF to offer a wide range of possible enhancements focused on different requirements. This flexibility was a keyfactor to realize different products that are used in off-shore and on-shore projects. Material chemical design focused on final customer requirements: Specific density range Specific hardness range Specific additives (fillers; anticorrosion) Short and adjustable cycle time Low processing temperatures. l Features This approach is essential to assure that different properties can be added in a flexible way to general mechanical features as in normal infill joint requirements.
