1 BUREAU OF INDIAN STANDARDS CENTRAL TESTING & CALIBRATION CENTRE PLOT NO. 20/9, SAHIBABAD INDUSTRIAL AREA, SAHIBABAD DISTRICT GHAZIABAD (UP) Tender document No. CL/Admn/77 ( ) Subject : Tender for disposal of various scrap items on annual rate contract basis Sealed quotations are invited for sale of various scrap items as listed in Annexure- A on annual rate contract basis as per the terms and conditions mentioned hereunder: 1. Quotations in sealed cover super scribed Quotations for Scrap should reach to Head, CTCC latest by 1500 hrs. on The pre-bid meeting will be held on at 1500 hrs in Conference Hall, BIS CTCC. Financial bid may seal in separate envelope with tender bid. Open financial bid will treated reject. Any quotations received after this date and time will not be entertained. The quotations will be opened at 1530 hrs. in the same day in the presence of interested bidders or their authorized agents and representatives. The rate should be quoted for each item. 2. Each bidder has to deposit a sum of Rs.15, 000/- by Demand Draft in favour of Bureau of Indian Standards payable at Sahibabad. The earnest money deposited along with their quotation. Quotations received without EMD shall be summarily rejected. 3. No interest will be paid on EMD.payment note that payment of EMD by cheque will not be entrained. 4. EMD of Rs.25, 000/- received from the unsuccessful bidders will be returned. 5. The successful bidder shall be required to deposit a sum of Rs.25, 000/- within a week of awarding of contract as security/caution deposit for performance/obligation arising out of the contract. Failure to deposit the caution money by the due date will lead to cancellation of contract and forfeiture of the EMD % of the approximate cost of the scrap shall be deposited before weighing and the balance shall be deposited before lifting the related material. 7. The entire lot of tested samples/remnants/scraps shall be sold by BIS (CTCC) ON AS IS WHERE IS BASIS. The following items /material may be inspected in the BIS, CTCC at above address between 1100 hrs. to 1500 hrs. on any working day from Monday to Friday.

The weighing of the unloaded truck and with loaded material truck shall be done in the presence of BIS officials at the authorized weigh bridge/dharamkanta unless there are arrangements for weighing in Laboratory itself. 9. Duties/taxed wherever applicable levied by Central/State Local bodies shall be b borne by the tenderer and the amount quoted in the officer for various items shall be payable to the Bureau. 10. The charges for weighting, packing and lifting the material shall be borne by the tenderer. 11. BIS CTCC reserves the right of accepting/rejecting the whole or any part of the quotation(s) or portion of the quantity offered without assigning any reason what so ever. 12. TCS shall be collected from the successful bidder at the prevailing rate and form C & D shall not be provided to this effect. 13. All material necessary for weighting (Platform Weighing Balance) packing etc. has to be brought by the successful bidder. In case of doubt, the Bureau reserves the right to have the weight rechecked by its own sources and the decision of the Bureau shall be final and biding on the successful bidder. 14. Any dispute, Controversy or claim arising out of this contract shall be subject to the Jurisdiction of Courts in Ghaziabad. 15. In case of non-compliance with the order in stipulated time on account of any reason, the Bureau reserves the right top: a) Cancel/rescind/revoke the order; b) Earnest Money deposit shall be forfeited. 16. The material will have to be lifted on the same day of weighment on any working day (Monday to Friday) between 1100 h to 1600 h except public holidays failing which the BIS CTCC is not responsible for any loss, theft, pilferage etc. 17. If the material is not lifted within 10 days of intimation of the offer, the same shall stand rescinded and no claim whatsoever will be entertained and material will be disposed off to the next highest bidder. In the event of the same, EMD and Caution Deposit will not be refunded. 18. The qualified firm shall remove the scraps in monthly/quarterly basis or need basis as per the approved rate. 19. The BIS CTCC reserves right to dispose to reduce/cancel/add fresh items on all quotation(s) submitted in whole or in part without assigning any reasons whatsoever. 20. The Bidders are required to furnish the following: a) Permanent Account Number (PAN)/TIN of the firm allotted by the Income Tax Department. b) Permanent residence address proof. c) Office/shop address proof. d) Bank account numbers and other details. e) Working experience (If any) All communications in this regard shall be made with the undersigned.
