40 Why ITB ITB is the first contractor in Nigeria to introduce Post-tension techniques in the building industry and is still the only one practicing it with Patent Exclusivity ITB is the only contractor in Nigeria who introduced Hollow Core slab technology in the construction industry. ITB have two major factories, one is located in Abuja and the other in Ibadan The Above 2 techniques allow bigger spans between columns, thus creating bigger spaces free of columns They also make the buildings lighter, thus saving on foundations ITB is the second only contractor who controls the whole chain of construction trades: piling, joinery, aluminum, MEP, etc ITB is the second only contractor in Nigeria who does in-house design & build projects. ITBis equipped with a sizable design office The above advantages give ITB a prominent edge in developing Value Engineering Strategies ITB is registered as ITB FZE in Eko Atlantic, which gives it the advantage of saving taxes and duties for the benefit of its clients in Eko Atlantic City ITB invested heavily in HSE and re-structured its construction processes to reduce the Severity Rate and Total Recordable Case Frequency 40
