INTRODUCTION Javlin Formwork Ltd has successfully completed many large prestigious contracts for leading private and public sector clients and has developed into a premier reinforced concrete contractor. Over the years we have built a reputation based on our ability to meet the high standards of specification and finish expected by clients, whilst at the same time achieving programme deadlines. In addition, a key factor is the commitment of staff to involve themselves in the client s requirements. This is reflected in the high level of repeat business achieved by the Company. 11 PROJECT: CASTORBAY WATER TREATMENT WORKS; Lough Neagh, Farrans / Earthtech MAIN CONTRACTOR: Earthtech/Farrans Construction Ltd CLIENT: N.Ireland Water Service DESIGNER: McAdam Design VALUE OF SUB-CONTRACT: 1500,000 SHORT DESCRIPTION OF THE WORKS: One of four facilities which are responsible for the treatment of approximately 50% of Northern Ireland s current water production capacity. The project, referred to as Project Alpha, is being funded through a Public-Private- Partnership Earthtech Farrans are responsible for upgrading the facilities and associated infrastructure. Water Service will continue to operate the sites until this upgrade is complete (PPP)

24 6. QUALITY Javlin Formwork Ltd recognises the need to sustain and continuously improve the quality of services provided by the Company to its clients. In todays ever-changing market the Company acknowledges the requirement to provide documented assurances to the client that the contracted works have been completed to the satisfaction of the Architect/Engineer and their respective specifications. The Company points out that at present it is not accredited with any formal Quality Assurance System. However, Javlin Formwork Ltd is committed to monitoring and updating its own internal systems, which can be modified to meet the exacting requirements of any individual project

25 7. SAFETY Policy It is always the purpose and intent of Javlin Formwork Ltd to work safely on its construction sites and in its undertaking of its operations to fully comply with the requirements of the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974, the Factories Act 1961 and the Construction Design and Management Regulations of Commitment Javlin Formwork Ltd is committed to providing, so far as it reasonably practicable, a site that is safe and without risk to the health and welfare of its employees, subcontractors and where appropriate, members of associated companies and the general public.
