PMI starts early in the process, working with the engineer and including input regarding possible cost-savings relative to constructability. PMI s in-house HD laser scanning and 3D modeling, along with orthographic and/or isometric drawings, allow us to shop-fabricate spools. PMI has the ability to self-perform structural concrete, structural steel erection, pipe fabrication and installation, equipment setting and alignment, and commissioning. To complement self-performed tasks, PMI subcontracts activities such as site prep, electrical/instrumentation, and insulation. Power Plants/Chemical Plants The staff and crews of PMI are experienced in nearly every area of power plant and chemical plant construction, whether that s being part of an engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) team; acting as a prime contractor; or performing duties as a subcontractor. PMI s teams have fully erected conventional natural gas units, combined cycle-power to alternative-fuel units, and built alternative energy power plants, including biodiesel plants, landfill gas plants, and concentrated solar plants. PMI understands clients needs, especially with regard to the rigorous requirements associated with following FDA procedures and the quality and cleanliness required within client systems. PMI also installs all related food and beverage process and conveyance equipment, including pasteurizers, conveyors, fillers, packers, de-palletizers, and packaging systems. Water Treatment PMI has worked on numerous water treatment facilities, ranging from wastewater and sewage plants, raw water facilities, and reverse osmosis (RO) facilities to demineralized water systems. Projects performed range from general contracting to subcontracting on equipment and pipe installation. PMI has built and installed RO skids for water filter companies and has also worked with the various stainless steels and alloys that are designed into these projects. Natural Gas Storage PMI has been servicing the natural gas storage industry for over three decades, supporting customers with turnkey solutions. Working with engineering, PMI s goal is to identify cost-savings through constructability input. In-house HD laser scanning and 3D modeling, in conjunction with orthographic and/or isometric drawings, allow PMI to shop fabricate spools to help facilitate high confidence and accuracy early in the project. During the course of the project, PMI self-performs the structural concrete pouring, structural steel erection, pipe fabrication and installation, equipment setting and alignment, and commissioning.

Hydrant Fueling Pipe Fabrication Hydrant fueling systems have standardized the way large planes are fueled by using underground piping systems that rise up through valves or hydrant boxes at each arrival gate. PMI is a prequalified contractor with significant experience in hydrant fueling and we have worked for municipal, international, military, and freight carriers. PMI has fabrication shops at all three of its California locations Pittsburg, Sacramento, and Gardena. The Sacramento and Gardena offices include industry-leading ASME-certified production shops. PMI also sells pipe, spools, and skid fabrication from these locations, as well as fabrication for its own projects. PMI can handle ½-inch to 60-inch material efficiently and cost effectively, and holds over 250 qualified weld procedures. PMI operates code shops and holds ASME Code Stamps U, PP, S, and NBIC R stamp. Manufacturing Facilities Whether serving small or large manufacturing companies and facilities, PMI has the experience and knowledge to get the job done safely and correctly. PMI s team of experts understands that, in manufacturing facilities, scheduling is critical to effectively plan and execute work in the most efficient way possible in order to minimize down time. PMI s teams work quickly and professionally to mitigate lost time. HVAC Piping PMI s Commercial Department performs HVAC piping (wet side), including HVAC equipment setting and radiant heat installation. With crews that are expert in low- and high-rise buildings, PMI often works in the San Francisco Bay Area and in the Central Valley. PMI works with dry side subcontractors or directly for the general contractor. Detailing crews utilize BIM modeling and other tools, such as laser scanning, for coordination and to generate fabrication and installation drawings. PMI s shops are utilized for in-house spool fabrication. Pipe Detailing PMI s detailing group is one of the largest and most technically advanced in California, with an average staff of 15 highly skilled detailers. PMI detailers can provide HD laser scanning, 3D modeling, and isometric, orthographic, and fab-quality spool drawings on a turnkey or as-needed basis, and can produce isos and orthos, either from field verification of client drawings or by generating its own drawings. PMI s investments in cutting-edge technology and equipment have allowed it to provide increased turnkey solutions for clients by effectively and efficiently expediting projects from the design process through fabrication and installation, while addressing constructability concepts at every step of the project.
