2 Modular Acoustical Panels (sound barrier panels) manufactured by IMI Innovative Acoustics Metal Corporation, Industries, provide a cost-effective solution to most airborne noise problems. Constructed of galvanized cold-formed steel, these panels have a two-inch thick mineral rock wool sound absorption batting, installed between the perforated face and the solid back tray. The value of using a panel that has sound absorption far outweighs the use of a standard fence or wall that is reflective. With Innovative IMI Acoustics Metal Corporation s, Industries Acoustical Modular Panels, you have a combination of both sound absorption and barrier. Innovative Metal Industries exclusive mineral rock wool sound absorption batting, backed by a solid barrier panel, eliminates sound penetration, while absorbing sound. The sound barrier panels have a noise reduction coefficient (NRC) of 1.0 minimum. The panels also have a sound transmission class (STC) of 26 or greater.
