11 Background 1976/77 EID/Department of Health Service recognized need to pipe ditch Various aspects of Main Ditch piping project have been included in EID s Capital Improvement Program since 11
12 Project Objectives 1. Increase supply reliability by reducing water loss, up to 1,300 acre-feet/year, resulting from seepage and evapotranspiration 2. Protect drinking water quality by eliminating chance for intentional/unintentional contamination 3. Reduce operations and maintenance costs associated with treatment and pumping 12
