The chamber is a public body, its functioning is based on the principle of self-government, and the membership of companies and entrepreneurs in the chamber is voluntary. The current number of members is 1100 undertakings. Welding: Welding Steel machinery, special steel and stainless steel, special welding methods. Processing with machines: Milling (processing centres, CNC, NC, conventional machines), toothing (external and internal, cylindric and tapered, geared wheels, chain wheels, sheaves, etc.), unique and special processing. 9

Gearing: Gearing of simple and complex machines, machineries. Measurement and quality assurance centre: Calibrating gauges (measuring range, calibrating torque wrenches, measuring soil massiveness and strength, measuring noise and acoustics, gauge control). 10

32 Radioactive waters Thermal waters and their effects in Heves County These contain sulphur in the form of hydrogen sulphide, carbonyl-sulphide (COS), rarely sodium-sulphide, calcium-sulphide. Even as a bath they are suitable to complement the sulphur deficiency of human body. Sulphuric bath has energetic effects, it has great significance mainly in case of rheumatic and some cutaneous diseases (Eger, Szent József fountain) Chalybeate waters In case of chalybeate bath iron soaks in the body through the skin, but in case of anaemia caused by iron deficiency we should use drinking cure for better results (Clarissa and István fountains in Parád). Chloride or salty waters Contain sodium- and chloride ions. Usage: rheumatic, problems of female genital organs, in case of catarrhal diseases of mucosa it can be used in the form of drinking cure, diseases of arthritis, spine, bones, muscles, tendons, nervous system, connective tissue, skin, problems of the autonomic nervous system, curing of fatigue.
