12 Hydronic Accessories Geo-Sentry Zone Valve The Taco Geo-Sentry Zone Valve enhances the overall performance of any geothermal system. The unique patented technology in the Geo-Sentry utilizes a microcircuit based logic to control a gear driven electronic actuator which drives a ball valve based body design. All this adds up to a geothermal zone valve that leads the industry in energy efficiency, flow capacity (Cv), shutoff pressure rating, ease of installation, diagnostic capability and the number of valves (12) that can be use on a standard 40VA transformer. 22 Pumping Contribu:on to System Efficiency Manufacturers catalog data for COP/EER does not include pumping wacs AHRI/ISO/ASHRAE cerkfied data for COP/EER includes pump wacs based on the following formula: Pump power correckon (W) = (gpm x ) x (Press Drop x 2990) / 300 Where "Press Drop" is the pressure drop through the unit s heat exchanger at rated water flow in feet of head Example: 4 ton system with 10.5 m- gpm Pump power correckon = 79.2 Wacs This is incredibly low, and causes AHRI efficiency to be overstated in most cases Pumping wacs can be significant, and will affect system COP/EER SYSTEM EFFICIENCY SYSTEM EFFICIENCY
