3 Innovative, ecological, collective GEWI AG 3 The proportion of renewable energies has increased dramatically in recent years. For the first Stefan Poehling time, legislators have established possibilities for directly marketing electricity from renewable energies with the amendment to the Renewable Energies Act (REA) of 2009 in order to make progress with the expansion and integration of renewable energies into the markets. The optional market premium model entering into legal effect at the beginning of 2012 will create a new incentive for market participation. We consider it to be the most profitable form of direct marketing at present. Legislation will be integrating renewable energies into market development at an accelerated pace in the coming years over the course of the energy revolution. This means that now is the right time to gain experience in direct marketing together with a qualified partner and take advantage of opportunities for increased revenue. GEWI AG specialises in the direct marketing of renewable energies. We are established on the energy market as an innovative medium-sized energy service company and will be glad to provide you with competent counselling on all of the issues surrounding the optional market premium model and other direct marketing possibilities. In this brochure, we would like to present the optional market premium model to you in greater detail and highlight GEWI AG s services. My team and I will also be glad to assist you personally should you have further questions. Please feel free to consult us at any time! Best regards, Stefan Poehling

4 4 GEWI AG Innovative, ecological, collective THE OPTIONAL MARKET PREMIUM MODEL According to the current legal situation, you have three ways of directly marketing RE electricity which you have produced as a plant operator: The include direct marketing with the green electricity privilege, direct marketing with the optional market premium model as of 2012 and other forms of direct marketing. We, GEWI AG, consider the optional market premium model to be the most attractive means of direct marketing at present, since: it is low-risk, simple and transparent, there is no restriction regarding the marketing volume and REA remuneration rate and you receive fixed increased revenue in comparison with the conventional REA remuneration. Other remuneration models which are also above the REA remuneration rate are also conceivable, of course. We will be glad to discuss potential variants with you. The nationwide market level is determined subsequently by the transmission system operators based on the volumes produced and the respective spot market prices at the EPEX Leipzig. In addition, you will receive the management premium, which is intended to cover the costs for system provision, stock exchange access, balance energy and processing. Composition of the REA remuneration according to the optional market premium model, Section 33 REA remuneration rate Management premium Market premium Nationwide market value

6 6 GEWI AG Innovative, ecological, collective GEWI AG INNOVATIVE, ECOLOGICAL, COLLECTIVE GEWI AG is an ecological, independent energy service company which is established on the liberalised energy market.
