All occupational samples were below the respiratory protection factor (100 f/cc) for PAPR utilized by the workers. Inspection Summary: Control Measure Breaches in Containment Mechanical Fixtures and protrusions sealed Wash Station Negative Air Pressure Proper PPE Use of Dust Suppression airless water application 6mil Disposable Bags Designated Waste transfer and storage area Regulatory Concerns: No concerns Control Measure in Place (/No) No No Date of Deficiency Brought off site Edmonton Kenora Kingston Ottawa Sudbury Thunder Bay Waterloo Winnipeg Vancouver
2 Field Inspection Report #30 J.H Picard Catholic School DST Reference No.: BE-ED Page Scheduling: High-risk abatement completed in the Second Floor. Site Meeting Notes: February 17 th, 2016 A pre-abatement visual inspection was conducted for the high-risk enclosure located in the Second Floor. All precautions were in place. Permission to proceed with abatement provided. Air monitoring in the area indicated no procedural deficiencies. February 18 th, 2016 Air monitoring in progress for the Second Floor. No deficiencies to report. A postabatement visual inspection was conducted for the space. The area was absent of visual debris. The inspection passed. At 2:30pm DST attending a kick off meeting for the schedule abatement work on February 25 to 29, This was with Chandos, R3 and APSI. February 19 th, 2016 Post-abatement aggressive air sampling was conducted in the Second Floor. The laboratory report of analysis indicated that all samples were below the set regulatory limit of (0.01 f/cc). Permission to dismantle containment was provided. Samples were prepared and analyzed in accordance with the National Institute of Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) Method 7400, dated August 15, Analysis was performed using the "A" counting Rules. It should be noted that NIOSH Method 7400 does not differentiate between asbestos and other fibres. Only fibres with a length greater than 5 µm and a length-to-width ratio equal or greater than 3:1 were counted. Fibres with a diameter smaller than 0.25 µm cannot be detected using this method.
