1 G4S HEALTH SERVICES APPLICATION PROCESS & WHAT TO EXPECT Thank you for the interest you have shown in working for G4S. G4S provide critical support services to customers that include Custodial environments, Courts, Hospitals, and the Police. It is essential therefore, that we are trusted by our customers to support such sensitive and critical environments. Part of this trust comes from screening all applicants prior to employment and ensuring that our Recruitment and Selection processes, attract the BEST PEOPLE. Our Recruitment process The recruitment process for G4S is a robust and thorough process designed to recruit the best people who demonstrate the key skills and behaviours required to be effective members of our professional teams; the process may therefore take a number of months to complete. We do appreciate your patience as we process your application and can assure you that we are doing so as quickly as possible. Your recruitment journey with G4S will consists of a variety of different stages: Job advertisement G4S advertise all vacancies on the online G4S Careers portal at and the NHS jobsite Instructions on how to apply for a position will be shown step by step on the Careers portal. Applying for the role The recruitment process begins with completing some basic personal details on a short form along with uploading your CV and a cover letter if you wish. Shortlisting If your application has been shortlisted, you will be invited to the next stage of the recruitment process relevant to the role you have applied for. Some of these processes could include the following stages:

2 . Interview If you are selected for interview, we will contact you to arrange a time and place for us to meet. The interview will be a competency based interview which will help us to assess your skills, behaviours and capabilities. In addition, you will be ed and asked to complete a full application pack for G4S Pre- Employment checks. Your application will be checked to ensure it is fully completed. Pre-employment checks - as part of our recruitment process prospective employees are subject to background checks prior to joining. We comply with all obligations under the Data Protection Act. Employer and character reference checks Disclosure Scotland checks Pre-employment medical assessment (where applicable) All job offers are made subject to the successful completion of the pre-employment Security Screening Job offer if you are the successful candidate, then we will make a verbal job offer to you whilst your application is being security screened. Once your Security Screening is cleared you will receive a start date, an Offer Letter, Terms and Conditions of employment. What qualifications are needed? This is dependent upon the position you apply for and the criteria on the job specification. Your existing qualification level will be assessed in addition to your experience.
