5 Job Advert Human Resources Advisor 27,266 to 31,682 per annum 37 hours per week Fixed Term until 31 March 2019 A generalist with HR/people management experience you are looking for a new challenge and the opportunity to make a difference. Reporting to the HR Manager and working with the HR Business Partners, you will play a key role in helping us to drive forward organisational change supporting and developing managers so that they can get the best out of people. You will be keen to develop new HR policies, systems and processes, playing a key role in what is a very small but dynamic team. We have already delivered on a lot of change and have an exciting re-structure programme ahead of us. Our people and managers are diverse; (including trades, office and support staff) which means we re looking for someone who can adapt their style to get the best out of the people that they re working with. We work extensively with line managers, providing coaching, advice and support and this is the model that we are looking to continue. You may not have worked in a housing related field, but you will have experience of working in a HR function, and are now looking for a new challenge and the opportunity to progress. The focus of this role will be working with the Property directorate and on dealing with ER cases. An excellent communicator, you will have experience of dealing with a variety of employee relations issues and enjoy supporting managers with complex case work. A positive and enthusiastic individual who inspires confidence and achieves results, you will be determined and driven enough to see projects through to completion whilst balancing the need to allow others to find their own solutions and achieve results. Play a key role in the development of an excellent, effective and efficient HR service providing a responsive service to enable Bron Afon to manage human resources risks and deliver Bron Afon s vision, values and business plan. 2. Provide an excellent advice and support service to colleagues throughout the organisation actively supporting change management within the business to help deliver Business and Service objectives. 3. Support the HR Manager to embed the effective use of HR metrics within the business to help drive performance improvement in the HR Service. 4. Support the HR Manager to implement the HR Business Plan and shape and drive organisational and cultural change to deliver Bron Afon s vision and values. Job Responsibilities 1. Support the development and delivery of the Human Resources Service, which implements the Bron Afon community mutual model, developing close and effective working relationships with all key stakeholders, public and private business partners and other local partner organisations. 2. Contribute to the HR Service to ensure that in partnership with Bron Afon members, tenants and leaseholders it delivers outcomes which maximise the effective use of resources and demonstrate accountability for Bron Afon to its members and tenants.

Promote and support the learning and development of all staff, members and tenants of Bron Afon and specifically engaging in personal learning and development projects that are relevant to Bron Afon. 4. Support the management of human resources risk by providing clear and relevant HR advice and guidance for managers which supports and informs decision making and change management in the business. 5. Manage an ER caseload including grievance, disciplinary, performance management (capability) and sickness cases to support Bron Afon management in the effective management of human resources. 6. Maintain an up to date knowledge of employment legislation and best practice. 7. Provide an effective recruitment service to the business and subsidiaries by managing recruitment campaigns to ensure efficient and effective selection and on-boarding of new employees. 8. Contribute to key HR projects and change management initiatives which enhance the performance and ability of people throughout Bron Afon to deliver on its commitments and business objectives. 9. Monitor, review and report on key HR performance indicators which recognise best practice, support continuous improvement and provide relevant, accurate and timely feedback to managers, Heads of Service and SMT. 10. Contribute to the research writing and implementation of best practice human resource policies to ensure legislative compliance. 11. Actively participate in any team or corporate initiatives to promote personal development and support the other members of the organisation to develop and reach their full potential. 12. Actively participate in the development of the continuous improvement of the Services provided by the Human Resources Service to ensure they are suitable for delivering excellent Services and are adapting to meet future Service needs. 13.
