13 APPRENTICESHIP COURSES Apprenticeship courses are government funded training courses and encompass a number of subjects. For year olds apprenticeship courses are 100% funded by the Government. To qualify for enrolling on any Government-funded apprenticeship, you must be resident in England only (not Wales, Scotland, etc.) and in full-time employment in a job role that is related to the subject you re seeking to study (i.e. if you want to do the Sales & Telesales Apprenticeship you should be in a sales-related job role). An Apprenticeship course incorporates four elements: Knowledge Section Competency Section Functional Skills (Maths, English & ICT) Employment Rights & Responsibilities The main elements are the Knowledge (KBQ) section and the Competency (QCF) section. Knowledge (KBQ) Section: This is the actual studying part, usually including written assignments.
