1 Title: Library Division Manager LSA Status: Exempt BIE DESCIPTI: The purpose of this position is to supervise the personnel and operations of the Hondo Public Library. This is accomplished by supervising personnel, recommending materials that should be purchased for the library, providing customer service to patrons, preparing the annual department budget for approval, and pursuing grants for library. EPTS T: This position reports to the City Manager. SUPEVISES: This position supervises Library Staff. Work requires managing and monitoring work performance by directing subordinate supervisors or administrators including making recommendations on hiring and disciplinary actions, evaluating program/work objectives and effectiveness, and realigning work and staffing assignments, as needed. ecommendations regarding policy development and implementation are made and/or recommended during interactions. Evaluates customer satisfaction, develops cooperative associations, and utilizes resources to continuously improve customer satisfaction. eceives Limited Direction: Within this job, the employee normally performs the duty assignment according to his or her own judgment, requesting supervisory assistance only when necessary. The assignment may be reviewed upon completion. Performance is reviewed periodically. Skilled: Work requires a comprehensive, practical knowledge of a technical field with use of analytical judgment and decision-making abilities appropriate to the work environment of the organization. Has responsibility for final approval of budgetary recommendations to the City Manager. Monitors progress toward fiscal objectives and adjusts plans as necessary to reach them.
