2 NOTES TO OUR CUSTOMERS Khulisane Academy is a dynamic company that was established on 1 October The core focus of the business is to serve as Skills Development Practitioner, to assist businesses with the Skills Development Act / Skills Development Levies Act compliance and to help with the implementation of the National Skills Development Strategy. We have therefore developed a range of toolkits available on CD to assist the ETD Practitioner with the smooth running of their operations. The following Khulisane Toolkits are available to purchase: Item 1: QMS Toolkit for the training provider The purpose of this toolkit is to provide the Training Provider with a detailed Quality Management System for the strategic development and management of the training institution for the provision of quality services related to training and development interventions. Item 2: Learning Material Developer Toolkit The purpose of this toolkit is to provide Learning Material Developers with best practices electronic templates for successfully developing learning material according to NQF requirements. Item 3: Skills Development Facilitator Toolkit The purpose of this toolkit is to provide SDF s with best practices electronic templates to successfully facilitate skills development processes according to the Skills Development Act and Skills Development Levies Act. This toolkit will enable the SDF to conduct training needs analysis throughout the development of Personal Development Plans (PDIs) for all the employees. This process will be conducted on an annual basis following the development of the business plan and will inform the drafting of the ETD budget. This will result in the annual Workplace Skills Plan (WSP). The assessment of the individual training needs will be conducted on an on-going basis as part of the performance reviews. Item 4: Moderator Toolkit The purpose of this toolkit is to provide Moderators with best practices electronic templates for successfully conducting internal moderations according to NQF requirements. Item 5: Assessor Toolkit The purpose of this toolkit is to provide Assessors with best practices electronic templates for successfully conducting assessments according to assessment regulations. 9 KHULISANE ACADEMY SCOPE SAQA ID: 91671, OCCUPATIONAL CERTIFICATE COMPLIANCE OFFICERS, LEVEL 6, 240 CREDITS PURPOSE OF THE qualification This qualification aims to prepare a learner to provide compliance services to assist management to discharge their responsibilities to comply with applicable regulatory requirements. EXIT LEVEL OUTCOMES A qualified learner will be able to: Design and implement compliance risk management frameworks Define, assess, maintain and advise on the regulatory universe Develop, facilitate compilation of and review compliance risk management plans Conduct compliance monitoring Compile and submit internal and external compliance reports Interact with industry regulators, supervisors and stakeholders Program OUTLINE Module 1. Compliance Principles KM Credits PM Credits WM Credits Compliance Practice Change management Project Management Generic Management Principles Total (240 credits) METHODOLOGY Training Program Strategy: The training strategy that will apply to this program will be a combination of the following: Contact sessions at Khulisane Academy combined with self-study to address the knowledge and practical skills components of the curriculum A structured work experience program at the site of an approved workplace to address the work experience component of the curriculum Assessment: Khulisane will conduct internal assessments by means of assessment activities and signed-off work experience log sheets. Upon successful completion of all six modules, Khulisane provides a statement of results to the candidate and the Compliance Institute Southern Africa (CI), as part of the candidate s application to complete the External Summative Assessment conducted by the CI. Certification: Upon successful completion of the External Summative Assessment, candidates will be recommended by the CI to the Quality Council for Trades and Occupations (QCTO) for certification. TARGET GROUP The profile of learners who can access this qualification is quite varied. It includes learners who are: School leavers who are drawn into compliance practice Higher Institution graduates, typically with accounting or legal qualifications Practitioners currently operating in the compliance field BENEFITS Once qualified, learners could be employed in a variety of compliance functions within organisations, or be able to set up their own independent practice to provide consulting or outsourced compliance services. 10 SAQA ID: 94222, OCCUPATIONAL CERTIFICATE Organisational Risk Practitioners, Level 6, 125 Credits PURPOSE OF THE qualification The purpose of this qualification is to prepare a learner to be able to manage risk management plans in support of an organisation s risk framework, which is generally the responsibility of Risk Officers. The Risk Practitioners assist the Risk Officers by undertaking or facilitating activities related to the implementation of the plans for managing risk in an organisation. Work Experience: During the one year program, the learner obtains work experience, relevant to the required work experience module in the curriculum. The employer is responsible to ensure that work experience must be assessed by a Registered Assessor. Statement of Results (SOR): Upon successful completion of all four modules, Khulisane issues a Statement of Results to the candidate based on the Knowledge, Practical and Work Experience. This SOR will give the candidate access to the qualifying assessment. External Assessment: On completion of the program, the candidate must apply to the Institute of Risk Management South Africa (IRMSA) for the External Integrated Summative Assessment (EISA). Certification: Upon successful completion of the External Summative Assessment, IRMSA will recommend candidates to the Quality Council for Trades and Occupations (QCTO) for certification.
