Lines of Businesses include: BMO Nesbitt Burns BMO InvestorLine BMO Private Banking in Canada, the United States and in Asia BMO Global Asset Management Position Description The Wealth Planning Consultant - High Net Worth exists to help IAs (Investment Advisors) develop specific client strategies to broaden the dialogue, consolidate client assets, and increase revenues. The scope of the role is on clients of $1 - $7+ million. A critical objective for incumbents in this role is the enhancement of the IA Experience, thus driving increased profitability, improved market share and NPS (Net Promoter Scores) scores. Key Accountabilities Business Delivery and Operational Effectiveness Work one-on-one with Investment Advisors (IAs) to help with the development and delivery (if required) of wealth management solutions predominantly focused on high net worth clients. Create awareness with Investment Advisors of key products and services offered by BMO Nesbitt Burns, BMO Financial Group and beyond, with the end goal of generating increased asset levels from High Net Worth investors. Develop and conduct presentations for and directly to clients where appropriate Execute a disciplined approach to all Sales and Wealth Management Strategies and goals to support Regional or National business growth and while focusing on the client experience Reinforce PCG (Private Client Group) sales processes and the Enterprise Wealth Planning client experience by identifying gaps & best practices to ensure delivery of complex wealth plans to PCD (Private Client Division) clients Assist in IA training both rookie advisors and established IA s Develop and execute regular sales campaigns and awareness articles for publication through internal IA communications vehicles Client and Relationship Management Work with Branch Managers to increase awareness of the Wealth Planning Consultants in their branches Develop strong relationships with key players in the external community and other professional networks/associations to support the brand image of PCG within the market Develop internal and external networks and referrals sources to ensure the ongoing growth of the PCG business within the region and to achieve identified personal targets Provide insight and share expertise with team members for advanced financial planning concepts; such as, succession planning and philanthropy and other complex wealth services offerings Demonstrate a consultative and collaborative selling approach in customer conversations, acting as a member of a client team, to facilitate the PCG desired client experience and to achieve business goals (Requisition Number) 2

3 Support the success of the client team by ensuring the effectiveness of team members, providing appropriate coaching to deliver the integrated offer in a cohesive manner Provide proactive, integrated, and customized advice and creates and implements wealth planning strategies to help clients achieve their financial and personal goals Increase the Bank s exposure to affluent and wealthy clients and prospects within the region (national where applicable) Qualifications A minimum of 5-10 years of relevant investment industry experience University degree CFP Designation Pl. Fin. Designation (Quebec) Experience interacting with and selling to IAs and or High Net Worth clients A background in one of the following areas would be considered an asset: o Similar role with another investment dealer o Investment Advisor contemplating a career shift o Financial Planner MBA considered an asset CA/CGA/CMA considered an asset LL.B/LL.L/LL.M considered an asset Knowledge of financial planning principals Working knowledge of Navi-Plan Trust & Estate Practitioner Other Finance Designations Life Insurance Designations considered an asset About BMO Nesbitt Burns BMO Nesbitt Burns is a core part of the success of BMO Financial Group.
