2 Contents Evaluation module Classification module Development module Welcome to the Future click4suppliers, the supplier management system used across the group, will be migrated to click4suppliers easy during the 2009 financial year. click4suppliers easy is the standard software from the supplier Xcitec GmbH for supplier management and strategic supplier information. The switch will bring with it a series of innovations for the group and the system users. In this brochure, we will introduce you to these changes. 2

5 Changes in features compared to click4suppliers As part of the migration, a standard and unified evaluation scale will be introduced at Siemens to assess suppliers [see Fig. 01]. The migration of the existing evaluations will result in adaptations to the evaluation results in individual cases. Being the benchmark for the supplier management and year-on-year comparisons, the adjusted and migrated evaluation results will be the ones that Siemens purchasing department uses in future, to prevent the adjusted evaluation method having any influence. These are subdivided, with the best suppliers in level 1 and the worst-rated suppliers in level 5. The supplier is assigned to the relevant level based on the overall result of the supplier evaluation, project evaluation, strategic evaluation or risk evaluation. The data migration to click4suppliers easy will result in certain changes to the supplier evaluation results. 5

7 Changes in features compared to click4suppliers In the supplier classification module, there are fewer comprehensive changes. The summary of the classification results display has been adjusted. The aggregated total of strategic evaluation and risk evaluation is now displayed in the report in separate sections [see Fig. 02]. aggregation for the classification at 50%, with the aggregated supplier evaluations also weighted at 50%. 9 Changes in features compared to click4suppliers Supplier development has a new structure in click4suppliers easy, broken down into measures and activities [see Fig. 03]. In click4suppliers easy the relevant purchaser will in future be able to initiate follow-up activities, e.g. measures based on evaluations. Alongside the existing supplier development documents Target Agreements and Project planning, a new form type, Supplier development has been added as part of the migration process.
