5 Care2Share Identity - Logo By using our brand colours, illustrations and fonts we created an intranet that feels familiar yet new and exciting to use. The Home Care Specialists Care2Share We created a logo with similar design to our company logo, but adding less corporate features, a bolder colour and text

6 Care2Share Identity - Icons & Buttons Forms PDF Download Recruitment P&P Jobs Office Marketing News H.R How To Guide Our icons and buttons all have a familar feel and are easy to understand, making the user experiance less confusing and quicker to navigate around. Form buttons on home page linking directly to the correct form within the site, making raising a query a much quicker and easier experience.

7 Care2Share Identity Following our internal brand guidlines we created an intranet which is fun, bright but simple and informative. Everything from the background to the icons were developed in line with our internal brand giving our employees a familiar experience. Care2Share Home Page- Features widgets feeding through from our news pages and jobs, as well as personal timeline feed, and quick links to our other sites. Our forms section sits at the top for ease of access.

10 Supporting Evidence - Best Intranet Launch - Promoting - Pre Launch - Launch Day

11 Care2Share Pre-Launch - Promoting During the run up to launch we raised awareness by promoting the intranet around the business, starting with a naming competition which enabled our employees to vote for the best name for the intranet. We also sent out e-shots, put up posters and even had a poem about Care2Share. We asked all our Carers and office staff to help name our intranet by submitting their idea s on and social media. The response was huge and we received over 200 entries, eventally a winner was chosen who is one of our Live-in Carers and Care2Share was born.

12 Care2Share Pre-Launch - Office Launch Carers skills and interests are just a search away on Care2Share Amber Read, Fast Response Manager Care2Share The Home Care Specialists To help promote the launch of Care2Share we got all departments and remote offices involved. We circulated posters promoting helpful features, sent out weekly e-shots to Carers and office staff updating them with progress and days till launch, which was around easter so we also sent all our Carers an easter egg with Care2Share written on it.

15 Care2Share Pre-Launch - Office Launch Fantastic Becky wrote a peom including all departments and features of Care2Share. This was well recieved around the business & shows how much people got behind the intranet.

16 Care2Share Launch Day Our East region team enjoying their cupcakes Care2Share launch day! Access and update your profile today! For launch day we wrapped all our head office employee s computer monitors in a bow with a Care2Share sticker on so they had to open their present when they arrived at their desk. Every department had balloons too. Double click the Care2Share icon on your desktop or visit: Use your citrix login Launch day e-shot sent to all office staff and Carers. The marketing team were on hand all day helping with logging in and troubleshooting. During the afternoon we gave out Care2Share branded cupcakes. Not forgetting our branches around the country we sent cupcakes all over the U.K.

18 Time Saving With features like Policies & Procedures and Training & Information we can direct our employees to an area on Care2Share to download the relevant information in PDF format. Our H.R. Manager said, office staff and Carers used to request these all the time, which would involve us ing them out, now we can just direct them to Care2Share and they will find them theirselves. All of our training pages and policies have downloadable PDF s for employees to access.

19 Share Ideas Since the launch of Care2Share we have seen some great collaboration and sharing between employees. Our Dementia Specialist, Jayne Vale keeps us upto date with training and Dementia hints & tips, which our Carers love. Hourly Carer Stevan Bailey posts Quick & Tasty recipes every week. We like it so much that we are going to turn it into a feature on Care2Share. New Carers caring for each other and sharing information.

20 Share Ideas To encourage more sharing we introduced a new feature called Pets Corner here our employees can post pictures and talk about their pets. Each month a Pet of the Month is announced who wins a prize. We have had a huge response from this already and some great pets being shared.

21 Solve Problems From the beginning we wanted to solve some of the everyday problems our empoylees were facing. These include but are not limited to, booking a customer re-assessment, ordering supplies, and getting support. Our Carers told us that they wanted a simple way to do this along side the normal procedures we have in place, so we introduced the forms system. Ten easy to get to and simple to understand forms solve many of the daily problems we come across. Once an employee completes a form it is sent to the relevant people and gets responded to within 24 hours.

22 Solve Problems Other ways we solve simple problems is buy using widgets. Some departments update their documents weekly on Care2Share and they wanted users to be able to see them as they update. So we introduced widgets into certain areas so the updated and new content would be there when our employees need it. Office Vacancies is updated weekly as our business grows. Policy updates takes place as soon as something changes so our employees are always kept up to date. We also created a How To section for people who need assistance out of hours.

23 Company Change The biggest change in the company is the encouragement of two way conversation. We used to frequently push information out, but now we have information shared, discussed and searched for. Also our Directors are more approachable on C2S with our C.E.O regualary contrubuting. Tim s latest post Just seen this week s new recruits. So many of them have been referred to us by their friends, which is great. We re busy going into the Summer, so we ll be able to keep everyone going!.

27 Managers Quotes Jo Wright - Head of Marketing The great news is that there are no layers on Care2Share. If you want to share a story with everyone, just post it on your timeline; if you want to make a comment straight to management, please go ahead. Often, in large organisations, information can become too sanitized before it reaches managers ears, which doesn t give any of us a clear representation of what people are thinking or feeling. It s really important to have open communication lines so we can look at the good and bad aspects of our jobs, celebrate the good and sort out the bad. So Care2Share is all about empowerment. Use this to learn more about Helping Hands, use it to further your career with us, gain some tips on how to be better carers and advocates of a good care business. As a team we are professional carers and we want to be the best in the industry use each other to start and build trusting relations and get the support you need out in the field.

28 Managers Quotes Jayne Vale - Dementia Specialist as the Dementia specialist I find the intranet the most helpful tool, carers are very busy in their role as Dementia carers and don t often have the time to use the telephone or this will cause distress to their customer as they will hear what is being said. So the contact through the intranet is quite and the carer can explain themselves better. I feel that carers value this information so that they can refer back to it, when they need it.

29 Managers Quotes Tim Lee - C.E.O Care2Share has been a brilliant addition to the way that we all communicate with each other here at Helping Hands. Whilst it doesn t beat face to face contact, our intranet provides an easy way to answer queries and raise questions and demonstrates our Listening & Understanding value. I particularly like hearing about all the great activities our Carers get up to with their customers in delivering outcome based care. We have some great contributors from our carer team, sharing knowledge about recipes and ideas for day trips. Care2Share is a living thing which will continue to grow in importance as more information is stored on there and people share their stories about life at Helping Hands. I m looking forward to seeing it develop!
