3 R&D foam production A highly skilled and dedicated group of engineers is working to create new materials and products for the aviation market on a daily basis. Recticel Aviation R&D is the centre of excellence for aviation applications. One of the advantages of the Recticel Group is the availability of multiple foaming and converting plants. This reduces your risk of supply. Each Recticel Foaming plant manufactures a range of unique foams. This large range of foam grades enables us to develop unique applications. Our product offering includes the state of the art High Resilient comfort foams like our Bultex foams, or slow recovery foams like Sensus and Graphite foams with excellent fire resistance properties. Together with the fire blocking materials in the market we are able to manufacture the right product. With over 20 years of experience Recticel Aviation is able to manufacture a diverse product range for all applications in the aviation sector, utilizing core polyurethane grades in conjunction with polyethylene foam. Using modern technology to manufacture these products we are able to be cost competitive while achieving a high quality of finished product. In addition we are able to offer cushion moulding, lamination and sewing of covers as well as cleaning. 4 testing Recticel Aviation is able to perform all types of testing related to foam properties and its applications. Testing is performed to assure product quality and compliance with regulations. All testing is performed according to international standards. Measurements from each batch are stored for traceability. For the Aviation requirements we perform the vertical burn test and the oil burner combination test in-house according to CS/FAR Durability testing and chemical analyses of foams or materials are performed at our International Development Centre. maintenance for a second life Recticel has the capability to perform specific cleaning of passenger seat bottom cushions and seat back cushions. Due to the very effective spray extraction-cleaning method we are able to give the passenger seat cushions a fresh and enjoyable second life. Repair and or replacement of cushions is also offered.
