4 Security deposits and container deposits Introduction Installing the Security and container deposits app will allow you to specify, using two fields for each product, the amounts for an additional security deposit and/or container deposit applicable to the product, e.g. for container deposits on bottles or a security paid when products are rented or loaned. When a consumer orders this product, the security or container deposit will automatically be added to the order. The total security and/or container deposit amount of an order will be added up in the shopping cart. Return security to customer If a consumer orders a product to which a security deposit applies, you can use order management to check whether the security has been returned to the consumer. If the security has been returned, you can indicate this on the Order Status tab so the order will be marked accordingly. If the order was paid for with CCV Pay, you have the option of directly transferring the security back to the customer by clicking on the Return security button. If necessary, the amount can optionally be changed. Page 4 Manual: Security deposits and container deposits

5 Security deposits and container deposits in combination with discounts, credit points and additional costs The following is a description of how to handle security and container deposits in different order situations. All of the following applies to both security and container deposits. Container deposits are subject to 0% VAT. Discounts do not apply to container deposits. Container deposits are part of the total amount in the shopping cart. For discount vouchers that only apply above a certain minimum amount, container deposits do not contribute towards reaching this minimum amount. Shopping cart discounts do not cover container deposits. Any costs tied to certain payment methods (percentages) are calculated based on the total amount, i.e. including container deposit. When shipping costs apply above a certain amount, do not apply above a certain amount, or when discount structures apply based on an amount, container discounts do not apply for this amount. User discounts (following login) do not apply to container deposits. Container deposits do not contribute towards credit points. Credit points cannot be exchanged for a discount on container deposits. If a minimum order amount applies, container deposits will contribute towards this amount. If a minimum order amount applies to electronic payment methods, a container deposit will apply to this amount. Container deposits are not included in turnover, purchase and margin statistics.
