2 INTRODUCTION RAEES was established in 2014 with the mission to fill an ever increasing need for an independent specialised company which provides comprehensive services to audit, inspect, consult, supervise, test and commission elevator and escalator systems. Our highly experienced personnel strive to thoroughly look at your equipment from all angles to ensure fulfilment of legislative requirements, contractual obligations and client s aspirations. We are able to provide professional expertise for the entire equipment life cycle from Design, Build, Manage and Upgrade. SERVICES Audit Elevators and escalators are complicated pieces of machinery with sophisticated electromechanical parts. Good quality, periodic, routine maintenance is essential to ensure they perform well, are reliable and operate safely. Poor maintenance can drastically reduce the life of elevator or escalator components, driving up costs as repairs become more frequent, as well as shortening the life-span till a major upgrade or modernisation is due. An audit is conducted to ascertain that the documentation and all relevant information is up to date and documentary evidence are sighted in the process. Inspect Inspection of the equipment is followed immediately after the audit to ensure the site condition corroborates the documentary evidence. The condition of the equipment in relation to legislative requirements and service vendor maintenance contract is ascertained. Page 1 of 6

3 Consult For equipment that have aged and are near the end of their life cycle, often in many cases much of the old equipment can be retained. Certainly often heavy mechanical items such as guide rails, car sling and car frame can usually be kept with no compromise on the service the newly upgraded or modernised will deliver. From the audit report the components which are due for upgrade may be identified for preparation of the technical specification. A range of service vendors may be put through a tender process and provides the options for the client to make the best selection. Supervise Maintenance: The audit report may identify a list of maintenance deficiencies which the service vendor will need to address. Deficiencies are identified within the scope of the maintenance contract and highlights any systematic problems along with suggested remedies. Through a planned supervised post audit process these deficiencies may be closed systematically. Upgrade: It is absolutely important to provide good supervision for the upgrade project to ensure that work is carried out diligently and checked periodically through site inspections and progress meetings. Test & Commission Upon completion of each equipment, ideally the equipment is tested against structured checklist and commissioned into service. Page 2 of 6

4 EXPERIENCE Engr. Raghib Azmi has more than 22 years of experience in the elevator and escalator industry having served in various capacities in sales, installation, maintenance and general management for leading elevator companies both locally as well as overseas. He has been engaged in various roles in several major high rise projects such as Petronas Twin Towers, Burj Khalifa, India Tower, Kingdom Tower and Menara Warisan. Engr. Raghib Azmi has served in the SIRIM Working Group on Lifts and Escalators since early 2000 and has been actively involved in the development of Malaysian Standards for elevators and escalators. He has been actively serving The Institution of Engineers, Malaysia (IEM) in various committees since 1993 and is currently a committee member in the Mechanical Engineering Technical Division. He has conducted elevator audits for residential and commercial properties as well as elevator upgrade consulting and supervision projects. EMPLOYMENT Engr. PROJECT REFERENCE 2016: Audit and inspection of 9 units of lifts at Palm Court Condominium, Jalan Berhala, Bricfields, Kuala Lumpur. 2016: Audit and inspection of a total 21 units of lifts and escalators at MAS buildings in KLIA Sepang and Kelana Jaya. The existing lifts at the Admin building were analysed and options provided to the client to determine what is the best solution for their building. Page 4 of 6

6 2016: Supervision of modernisation works for 8 units of lift at D Aman Crimson Condominium, Ara Damansara, Petaling Jaya, Selangor Darul Ehsan. The works of the lift vendor were supervised through progress meetings and the lifts were inspected upon completion to ensure the work was done in accordance with the contract. 2015: Audit and inspection of 4 units of lifts at Villa Flora Condominium, Jalan Burhanuddin Helmi, Taman Tun Dr. Ismail, Kuala Lumpur. 2015: Audit and inspection of 16 units of lifts at Ara Hill Resort Condominium, Ara Damansara, Petaling Jaya, Selangor Darul Ehsan. 7 2015: Consultancy work for analysis of Lift System at Al Madinah International University. Al Madinah International University had purchased an Office building and wanted to determine if the 2 units of lift would be sufficient for the purpose of the University. The scope of work involved analysing the existing lift and providing options for the client to determine what is the best solution for their building. 2014: Supervision of Lift Modernisation Works at Fraser Towers Condo. The scope of work involved auditing of 6 units of lifts in the first phase to determine the condition of the lifts. Some maintenance issues were observed during the audit and inspection phase. The incumbent vendor was supervised to bring the lift maintenance work up to requirements. Made recommendation for the modernisation of the lifts. In the second phase, the lift modernisation tender exercise was carried out and an appropriate lift vendor was contracted to carry out the lift modernisation wok. The works of the lift vendor were supervised through progress meetings and the lifts were inspected upon completion to ensure the work was done in accordance with the contract. Page 6 of 6
