28 Grounding COMPRESSION GROUNDING SYSTEM AND INSUATION PIERCING VISE GRIP CONNECTORS COMPRESSION GROUNDING SYSTEM A complete heavy-duty compression grounding system manufactured from pure copper for use in conductor to conductor, conductor to rod and conductor to rebar grounding applications. The heavy duty design ensures exceptional mechanical strength and enables the connectors to withstand high fault current values. The long lasting, high performance parts offer a quicker, cleaner and safer grounding alternative, especially when compared to exothermic connections. The connectors are made of pure electrolytic extruded copper which eliminates corrosion caused by the use of dissimilar metals and provides 99.9% conductivity. By comparison, exothermic connections typically offer approx. 40% conductivity, even when installed correctly. In addition, exothermic installations can be prohibited in some areas due to safety and environmental concerns. These range-taking connectors reduce inventories and offer excellent flexibility in the field. All sizes can be installed with standard 12 ton hydraulic tools and dies. Since installation is a cold process, there is no need for special equipment or protection and installation can be made in any weather conditions. Typical installation time is less than 5 minutes per connector saving time and money!
