IFGL Refractories Limited is engaged in the manufacture of Special Refractories for Iron & Steel Industry. It has a distinct technological and business focus Special Refractories and Systems for the Steel Industry. The company has a large pool of well trained Engineers and Application Specialists to satisfy clients with Total Refractory Solution for Flow control in Steel Teeming and Continuous Casting of Steel. The main manufacturing unit of IFGL is located at Kalunga Industrial area, near Rourkela, Odisha, India. The Continuous Casting Refractories plant in Kalunga, India has started production in 1993 in technical collaboration with Krosaki Harima Corporation, Japan. This plant manufactures Cold Isostatically Pressed Continuous Casting Refractories for Steelmaking, Isostatically Pressed Magnesia Carbon Tap Hole Sleeves, Slide Gate mechanisms & Refractories, Purging Plug mechanisms and Refractories, Monolithics and Precast shaped Refractories and zircon/zirconia nozzles for open casting. IFGL-Kandla works Requisite sophisticated machines for continuous casting from tundish, i.e., Tube Changer Mechanism (TCM) for quick change of SES in Slab Casting, Nozzle Changer Mechanism (NCM) for quick nozzle changing in billet casting are manufactured, supplied and installed on turn-key basis by IFGL in team with Monocon, U.K. engineering facility. In order to meet the growing demand, in 2012 IFGL started its second state-of-the art manufacturing facility at the Kandla Special Economic Zone, Gujarat, India for production of Isostatically pressed Continuous Casting Refractories. EI Ceramics LLC, located in Cincinnati, Ohio, USA, acquired in 2010, is engaged in manufacturing of Isostatically Pressed Continuous Casting Refractories for the American markets.

Good performance of tundish nozzle is crucial for successful closure of steel flow with the stopper.
