1 General Job Description CLOSING DATE: May 31, 2017 WORK LOCATION: Lives off site but close to the Goldpanner, Cherryville, BC, Canada VISION Our goal at Kingfisher Heliskiing Ltd (including the Goldpanner Resort) is to share our passion and love for Adventure Tourism (AT) in the rugged mountain environment while providing exceptional customer service and safety to all of our guests. Above all else, we focus on creating relationships and friendship, built on a foundation of unequaled service, industry knowledge and business commitment ACCOUNTABILITY: The General (GM), reporting to the Board of Directors, is directly responsible for all resort activities (summer and winter), ensuring the functions in six key areas: Management and Oversight, Finance, Board Operations & Strategic Planning, External Relations, HR and Professionalism are maintained and the highest level of service provided for our clientele. Leading a team of professionals, the GM is fundamentally responsible and accountable for the quality, integrity and risk management as well as the successful management, administration, and daily operations of Kingfisher Heliskiing. The GM must ensure effective communication throughout the resort and nurture an efficient and positive team-based culture. The GM is also responsible for providing leadership and support to management and staff as well as to develop policies and procedures to achieve KFH goals.

2 MANGEMENT AND OVERSIGHT Direct and coordinate operations of KFH by collaborating with managers to review, formulate and administer: o Planning procedures including the development of strategic plans, annual work plans, long range goals and objectives o Organizational reports to align with goals and objectives (i.e. mid and end of season) o Interface with managers and assist staff to create organizational polices to ensure effective and efficient operations are in place to meet guest service standards. Support the Management team; ensure that each manager follows the duties detailed in their job descriptions, that they are adequately trained. Monitor performance and effectiveness, adjusting operations as necessary to meet or exceed organizational goals. Ensure KFH (including the Goldpanner Resort) operates within legislative requirements for Year round Resorts Outline and ensure that the highest customer service standards for KFH guests are provided by all managers and employees Achieve targeted results in areas of financial sustainability, client satisfaction, revenue/sales performance, and human resources management. Coordinate effective weekly managers meetings FINANCE Responsible for profitability ensure revenue generation and expense control, while meeting financial responsibilities as laid out in the operating budget Lead the development, administer and recommend financial policies Develop the annual operating budget, including revenue forecasts, and capital improvement budget Provide recommendations to the board regarding effective utilization of long and short-term debt including refinancing and purchasing/sales Oversee financial matters including banking & financing relationships, reporting and budgeting in conjunction with the Controller. Must ensure that the BOD receives monthly, and yearly financial reports. Approve department budgets and ensure cost effective delivery of products and services. Ensure appropriate purchasing for all equipment and supplies for each departments. Ensure that invoices are properly processed and approved in a timely manner Review analyses of activities, costs, operations, and forecast data to determine department progress toward stated goals and objectives. Monitor and report financial results and notify BOD of any variances Ensure readiness for annual audit

3 BOARD OPERATIONS & STRATGEIC PLANNING Report to Board of Directors on a semi monthly basis and ensure meeting agendas are prepared and minutes are taken. Explores new concepts in the Adventure Tourism (AT) business to determine possible benefits of implementation EXTERNAL RELATIONS In partnership with the BOD, liaise with industry and external stakeholders in a collaborative approach to develop the resort as a preferred multi-season recreational facility Develop and maintain community programs and campaigns to encourage open lines of communication and support from local residents and businesses. HUMAN RESOURCES Ensure all staff have an up to date signed contract and job description Conduct semi-seasonal performance reviews Must monitor annual vacation for all managers, supervisors and staff and ensure that vacation is taken as per company policy. PROFESSIONALISM: Uphold corporate vision statement, goals and purpose, setting the highest ethical standards for self and others Must personally represent company in a manner compatible with corporate image. Present a positive and professional image to all visitors, suppliers, inquiries, and other interactions. Must make an effort to act with and approach all duties and obstacles with enthusiasm which by extension leads to energetic actions, productivity, and positive outcomes. Responsible for the quality of our service and products; setting quality standards, and maintaining quality. Must ensure customer service standards are beyond expectations. EXPERIENCE A minimum of 10 years of experience in a senior management position including experience in a leadership and operational role is essential Post secondary education and/or experience in Business Administration, Ski Area Management, or related field

4 Experience managing a team of professionals Experience with long range planning and project management A successful record of outstanding financial performance, marketing and sales Experience in dealing with public/media and employee relations. COMPETENCIES/PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES Excellent leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills (including ability to handle crisis communication as needed) Excellent presentation and negotiation skills Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with a broad range of individuals and groups Ability to deal with changing circumstances in a positive manner Ability to work with a schedule that includes weekends and holidays Result-oriented and committed to quality service Exceptional guest service skills Strong Delegation skills DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS (an asset) Familiar with project management and financial accounting applications (SAGE) Strong computer skills with Microsoft office, internal reservation software (Rezdy) and word press Knowledge of all aspects of winter/summer operations * This job description may be amended as to any particular or in its entirety by the Board of Directors at anytime.
