3 UK Pwer Netwrks 1.0 Intrductin and Purpse The purpse f this prcedure is t set ut the prcess fr Wrk in the LPN area where the Lw Vltage (LV) Netwrk is Inter-cnnected r is Radial with fusing excess f 400A and where it is necessary fr the DNO t cmplete advance netwrk pre-cnditining wrk prir t the ICP cmmencing Wrks where the ICP cannt, r des nt wish t, carry ut Operatinal Activity as set ut in CON This Linking and Fusing Service as described within this prcedure can be carried ut by the DNO as a chargeable service n request frm the ICP. 2.0 Scpe This prcedure applies fr all requests made t UK Pwer Netwrks fr the chargeable Linking and Fusing Service by ICPs carrying ut cntestable Cnnectin Activity in the LPN area. Where restrictins are in place, including but nt limited t the fllwing examples: there are knwn r indicative (such as repeat fuse failures) fault cnditins during a System Emergency the lad requirements will nt permit the netwrk t be safely fused this Linking and Fusing Service will nt be prvided. 3.0 Objective The bjective f this prcedure is t enable ICPs t carry ut Cnnectin Activity in areas f the LPN LV Netwrk where the ICP cannt, r des nt wish t, carry ut Operatinal Activity as set ut in CON Where the netwrk running cnditins d nt prevent Operatinal Activity being carried ut, UK Pwer Netwrks will prvide n request a chargeable Linking and Fusing Service fr ICPs t enable ICPs t subsequently carry ut Cnnectin Activity. 5 UK Pwer Netwrks Site SORN Specificatin Any specified part r sectin f the area at which the ICP is perfrming cnnectins System Operatin Reference Number electrnically prvided by UKPN t the ICP t identify the limitatins f the Wrks The appendices (as published frm time t time by UKPN) t the Electricity Netwrk Assciatin s dcument G81 which set ut the design standards, the material standards, the installatin standards and any ther standards applicable t the Wrks 6.0 Respnsibilities 6.1 The ICP will: cmplete STAGE 1 f the Request Frm and submit electrnically t umcicp@ukpwernetwrks.c.uk with the relevant SORN and supprting infrmatin allw a minimum f 15 Business Days between the submissin f the crrectly cmpleted Request Frm and supprting infrmatin and the planned date f the Linking and Fusing Service shuld the Apprved Signal Injectin Service (ASIS) be required, submit a separate applicatin frm fr this in accrdance with COP and NOC Fr the avidance f dubt where required this chargeable service will be invice in additin t the Linking and Fusing Service. cntact the Delivery team t cnfirm when Cnnectin Activity is cmpleted. cnfirm t the HWS team that the Service has been prvided make payment against the invice received 6.2 The HWS team will: receive Request Frm electrnically frm the ICP at umcicp@ukpwernetwrks.c.uk review the Request Frm received t cnfirm that all required infrmatin is prvided and STAGE 1 is fully cmpleted by the ICP Are all fields cmpleted in Stage 1 f the frm? Des the regin and SORN reference crrelate? Is the SORN at Cnfirmed state? Has the ICP prvided a marked-up map? Is the specific electrnic lcatin fr the prvisin f the Service clear and as described in NOP ? Has a minimum f 15 Business Days been allwed between the submissin f the Request and planned date? if any f the required infrmatin is missing r inaccurate, reply t the ICP by including full details.
