1 Over 2,600 people attended the 2014 Vendemmia da Vinci. They came to sample the best wines from Italy, taste the finest Wilmington cuisine and listen to great Italian music from performers such as Steve Silicato and Andrea Arena. Over 20 restaurants and local wine distributors were on-hand sampling some of the finest food and wine in the region. Local favorites included Soffritto Italian Grill, Harry s Seafood Grill, Bolla, Beringer Wines, Brasserie Grille at Wilmington/Christiana Hilton Hotel, La Casa Pasta, Chesapeake Inn, Walters Steak House, Caffé Gelato, Union City Grill and many others. Local residents stole the spotlight in the Homemade Wine and Gravy contests. With over 25 participants in each contest, choosing a winner was a difficult but delicious task!

2 SOCIETA DA VINCI The Societa da Vinci is a 501 C (3) non profit organization with members from the Greater Wilmington Community, Southeastern Pennsylvania and Southern New Jersey. Our mission is to raise money for those in need. We award grants in the categories of family assistance, medical emergencies, scholarships, support of the Delaware National Guard, family assistance fund and for worthy cultural and educational programs. Over the past 16 years we have helped hundreds of families. Every dollar we raise goes directly back to the community as the Societa da Vinci organization funds all operational expenses through our membership dues. Since the inception of the Societa Da Vinci, contributions have included: The little Sisters of The Poor, Annual Funding of St. Anthony s Grade School Italian History Month, and Educational Savings Bonds to a 9-11 PA pilot s son. Over 15 University of Delaware scholarships. Student exchange programs and financial assistance for the production of an educational documentary, Prisoners Among Us by Michael DiLavro aired nationally on public television, plus much more.
