1 Bid Package 22A Plumbing Systems The successful Subcontractor acknowledges and agrees to the requirements set forth by this bid package and its descriptions and in conjunction with all other Construction Documents, as required to provide, furnish, install, and/or maintain all items necessary for a complete scope of work as listed below. 2 gg) Commercial Showers hh) Emergency Plumbing Fixtures ii) Pressure Water Coolers jj) Compressed Air Piping for Laboratory and Healthcare Facilities kk) Vacuum Piping for Laboratory and Healthcare Facilities ll) Gas Piping for Laboratory and Healthcare Facilities mm) KJWW Commissioning Plan dated September 12, 2016 The successful Subcontractor is responsible for all specification Divisions and Sections included within the Construction Documents as required to provide a complete scope of work for this project. The individual Divisions and Sections listed above are provided as a courtesy only. II) Provide Scope Specific Items: 1) Plumbing permits. 2) Building plumbing systems as complete operable systems. (domestic water, sanitary sewer, storm water, medical gas, etc.) 3) Complete system including but not limited to: clean outs, wall plates, floor plates, carriers, trap primers, hose bibs, wall hydrants, heat trace, make-up water to HVAC items, interior manholes, grease traps, oil interceptors. 4) All plumbing fixtures, plumbing equipment, drainage fixtures and water hammer arrestors 5) Variable frequency drives, motor starters, fuses and disconnect switches that are integral with plumbing equipment. 6) Loose VFD s and/or controllers 7) Provide one (1) laborer for the duration of the project to be utilized as directed by Skanska. 8) Plumbing systems provided fully coordinated with all trades. Include all offsets, re-routing and supports (including supplemental steel for spanning cross support) for a complete installation 9) Pipe system tested as complete systems or as partial systems as required to meet the schedule and flow of work so as not to impede the progression of construction. 10) If required remove from site and dispose of all water from chemical cleaning/flushing that is not allowed to be flushed into the storm or sanitary lines.

3 11) All prefabrication supplied to the project must be fully coordinated by the PC with the schedule and all other trades. This is to be accomplished during submittals and coordinated during coordination meetings. Pre-fabrication work plan must be submitted for approval prior to prefabrication being performed. 12) Excavation, backfill, compaction and spoils removal necessary for the work within this package. 13) Dewatering necessary for the work within this package. 14) Pads, curbs, inertia bases and other concrete work necessary for the installation of the work within this package. 15) Blocking/backing for this bid package. 16) Caulking, sealants and fire stop for this bid package. All fire resistive caulking and through wall assemblies are to be products manufactured by Hilti. 17) Architectural access doors (installed by others) as necessary or specified for work within this package. 18) Sleeves, Link Seals, block-outs, coring, supports, bracing, brackets, guide wires, inserts, curbs, leveling, shims, escutcheon plates and all related items necessary for the work within this package. 19) Isolation valves at risers and branch runs, air vents at high points, drains at low points, anchors, pipe guides and expansion loops. 20) Insulation of Plumbing systems as specified. 21) Coding of piping, systems and equipment as necessary for work within this package. 22) Painting of plumbing systems as specified. 23) Seismic requirements. 24) Cleaning, flush and passivation for all water systems. 25) Install all piping and sleeves to or at right angles to the building structure. 26) Install hangers prior to fireproofing when possible and patch otherwise at the expense of this package. 27) Electric heat trace on all exposed to ambient temperature pipe systems. 28) Provide all related requirements for early start-up and usage of the HVAC system. 29) Specified warranties and extended warranties to cover early start-up of the plumbing systems. 30) Warranties per specifications; if not listed, two year minimum to be provided.

4 31) Warranties shall begin at project substantial completion and not at equipment start up. 32) Testing and system certifications as specified. Include the following as specified: Water sample testing, weld testing, video taping and vibration testing. 33) Furnish all specialty magnetic or shielded rooms with non-metallic products. 34) Provide all make up water connections to mechanical systems up to and including the backflow preventer valve. 35) Include all related controls, interlock wiring and control devices for a complete operable system including but not limited to the following (review electrical drawings for miscellaneous mechanical related wiring & if not shown on electrical drawings by EC then include it in your estimate) : med gas alarm, circulation pumps, sump pumps, condensate pumps, internal wiring with-in packaged systems and trap primers. 36) Owner-furnished equipment: a. Receive and install owner-furnished equipment that is related to this scope of work. Provide connections, fittings, dielectric unions, valves and hoses as necessary for installation. Make all final connections. b. Headwall units, medical gas consoles c. Dental equipment (chairs and consoles) d. Dishwasher e. Ice makers f. Goggle Sanitizing Stations g. Glass Washer h. Temporary storing of equipment i. Protection of equipment j. Shimming and leveling of equipment 37) Medical gas system control/interlock wiring (regardless of voltage) and certification. 38) Roof drains, over flow drains, drain pipe and supports as required for work under this package. Drain pipe insulation as specified. Provide early installation and/or temporary systems for roof once it is installed. 39) Coordination with site contractor underground (sanitary, storm, domestic water) :

5 a. Make all final connections and testing to site contractor provided pipe. b. All pipe to 5 outside the building footprint with exceptions to man hole, tanks and traps where you will provide to 5 beyond the equipment or last tie in. c. Fire water supply from 5 outside the building to 1 above finished floor in sprinkler room. d. Review civil drawings and coordinate location of pipe. Include added lengths required to match the civil drawings. 40) Assist Testing and balancing contractor for plumbing systems. 41) Participation in Coordination Drawing Process in accordance with Section 12 of the Supplemental Instructions to Bidders and Special Conditions. 42) Compliance and adherence to KJWW s Commissioning Plan dated September 12, ) Assist Commissioning Agent (CA) with HVAC systems. Provide assistance to the commissioning agent as necessary. 44) Self perform Commissioning of the Plumbing systems.
