1 Writing to your Member of Parliament..and others. The following pages contain contact information for three groups of MPs: Liberal MPs who won in 2015 with less than a 3% margin. Eight Liberal MPs had less than a 2% edge and two were less than 1%. With the next election less than 2 years away, we believe these MPs need as much good publicity as they can get. It would be in their interest to help change legislation that pushes seniors into poverty. If you are in one of these ridings your MP should be motivated to help you. The Prime Minister and applicable Ministers These are the Liberals who will most influence any decisions about changing the unfair legislation. The MPs listed are directly responsible for particular pension Acts. If you are not in any of these ridings be sure to copy the Prime Minister and the Minister who is most applicable to your situation. We have provided their addresses to make it easier to send copies of your letter. Leaders of the other parties and their Shadow Cabinets These are the people who can bring the most pressure on government to bring about change. No matter whether your MP is a Liberal or another party, the opposition parties need to hear so they can act on your behalf. If you are uncertain who to tell your story to, besides your own MP, send a copy of your letter to us at contact@pensionfairness-sspfc.ca and we will make sure it is sent to all the right MPs in the opposition parties. Mailing address for all MPs: Mr. or Ms. (Name), MP House of Commons Ottawa, Ontario K1A 0A6 If you prefer , we provide addresses with the MPs names.
