2 Financial Authority / budget: (amount controlled/impacted by the position) N/A Purpose of the position: To contribute to achievement of project objectives through promotion of protection for the children and vulnerable persons in Makpandu and Napere refugee settlements and host communities. Major Responsibilities: (please define in output format 1-10 things of what you expect to see as a result of this position) Key Outputs/Responsibilities (Accountabilities and results) Weight (%) Participate in planning by reviewing project design documents and produce detailed weekly implementation plan, procurement plan and activity budget breakdown to facilitate activity implementation. 10 Participate in assessment and identification of protection gaps including Child protection. GBV issues and coordinate with protection actors to address the gaps.

3 15 In collaboration with Legal counselor and Psychosocial Counselors carry out activities that contribute to reducing GBV and child protection issues in the refugee settlements. Enhance networking and collaboration with local partners (government and humanitarian actors) through participation in inter-agency protection /child protection working groups at County and state levels; establishing and monitoring Codes of conduct; review and adopt and operationalize Standard Operational Procedures (SOPs). 15 In collaboration with local leaders, Schools teachers, and other sectors identify existing protection committee or form new child protection committee; strengthen their capacity to respond to child protection issues. 15 Coordinate with Schools and local leaders in the formation and training of child right clubs, youth clubs and liaise with local leaders and School administration to create environment for child participation in issues that affect them, including reduction of child labour. 10 Carry out day to day coordination with protection network in the refugee settlements and host communities, including the Police, supporting protection committee in documenting abuse cases, referrals and management of cases. 15

4 Carry out mobilization of key community stakeholders including protection committee, youths, women, men and host communities to participate in community awareness events/meetings. 10 Compile and submit timely weekly activity reports and monthly progress reports to the Camp Manager (. 05 Report any cases of abuse/violence against children in WVSS programme area as per the Child Protection Incident Preparedness Plan to the Protection Advisor within 24 hours of the incident. 05 TOTAL 100 PROFILE: Core Capabilities: (proficiency levels; 1=developing 2 =proficient 3=advanced) Core Capability Proficiency level (1, 2, 3)

Qualifications: Education/Knowledge/Technical Skills and Experience The following may be acquired through a combination of formal or self-education, prior experience or onthe-job training: University undergraduate degree in social work, Social Sciences or related field. Diploma in Social works or Law with 3 years experience in protection work in refugee setting may be accepted. General understanding of human rights principles, especially those related to women and children; Energetic and motivated skills in community mobilization, training, and working with children; Willing to work and live in remote areas with basic services.
