1 Job Overview Middle East Sales Engineer MIDDLE EAST SALES ENGINEER Due to its continued global development strategy, Amarinth Ltd is seeking to recruit a dynamic Regional External Sales Engineer to support the UAE territory. In this strategically critical role, the successful applicant will be based in the UAE, having specific responsibility for effective customer influencing and lead generation from all relevant companies existing within the Middle East territory. Most importantly, the appointee will be able to travel easily within the region in order to develop strong and effective relationships with key customers within the existing Oil and Gas contractor and End-User markets where commercially appropriate sales can be realised. The successful candidate will ideally have a mechanical engineering bias and experience within capital sales. He or she will be used to, and enjoy, regular customer interface, preferably with experience within the UAE region in a commercial sales capacity and be looking to forge a significant role in a dynamic, forward-thinking and successful manufacturing company. 2 Job purpose & KRAs Title Reports to Job purpose Key Result Areas Middle East Sales Engineer Sales Director To support new and existing customers within the UAE and designated associated Middle East countries through effective direct sales engineering interface, product and service alignment and sales need fulfilment. To deliver sales input from the region in line with annual target. Building and maintaining effective customer relationships through regular customer interface. Pro-actively identifying commercially aligned opportunities to Amarinth s products and services. Effectively drive and support designated territory Agent/s. Ensuring on-time delivery to customers of technical and commercial updates and accurate quote submissions. Presenting technical solutions, negotiating to order and aligning Amarinth strengths to customer needs. Duties and responsibilities Individual Generating commercially aligned leads and prequalifying customer requirements to maximise sales opportunities. Effective face to face visits to targeted customers agreed with Sales Director. Maintaining controlled enquiry volumes and visit reporting within the customer- database. Daily engagement with UK Head Office teams to ensure timely update and progress of opportunities. Primary contact for all agents across the territory and effective weekly working relationship. Planning effective customer visits throughout the territory to new and existing customers OEM s, EPC Contractors and End Users. Effective order forecasting and regular updating of targeted jobs and enquiries in customer database. Page 2 of 5
3 Being readily available to visit UK main office for required sales handovers, training and when otherwise requested. Effective project tracking and influencing to align Amarinth product offering throughout project cycle. Representing the Company positively at all times and effectively assisting with customer technical queries, complaints and warranties. 5 Other requirements Qualifications Minimum requirement 5 x GCSEs, grades A-C, ideally in mathematical or science subjects (or international equivalent qualifications) HND or equivalent in a mechanical engineering discipline Desirable requirement/potential Bachelor s degree or equivalent in a mechanical engineering discipline Experience Effective Sales of capital equipment within the Petrochemical, Oil & Gas Industry. Capital equipment sales. Understanding of international standards which are relevant to petrochemical, oil & gas markets. Middle East, on and offshore markets, customers and needs. Ability to read and understand customer specifications. Sales presentations. Managing agents. Experience with API th petrochemical, oil & gas markets and applications and customers. An existing Network of associated customers and contacts. Centrifugal pump experience. Commercial contract negotiations. IT MS Office. Effective sales order forecasting and planning. Circumstances Available to take up position with the Company, if offered the role, within 3 months. Be able to work and live in the UAE. Willingness to travel in and around the gulf region with occasional visits to the UK. Able to complete 8 week induction training in the UK from contract start date.
