1 NATIONAL CENTRE FOR RURAL ENTERPRISES ABOUT EDII, SVEP PROGRAM and the National Centre for Rural Enterprises (NCRE) Set up in 1983 by IDBI Bank Ltd, IFCI, ICICI, SBI and Government of Gujarat, Entrepreneurship Development Institute of India, Ahmedabad is a National Resource Organization, recognized under Mission DAY NRLM for Start up Village Entrepreneurship Program by Ministry of Rural Development, Government of India, New Delhi. The SVEP program envisages creating an enabling environment that provides for an attractive investment climate and dynamic rural entrepreneurship. Establishing a local community cadre (Community Resource Person Enterprise Promotion) is the central to the program. The cadre is expected to catalyse the local village organizations, Self Help Groups (SHGs) and Associations (representing producers) as building blocks. GIS enabled software support complements the effort of market potential assessment along with the performance tracking of the new and existing enterprises established under SVEP program. The proposed National Centre for Rural Enterprises seeks to facilitate creation of a sustainable ecosystem for rural enterprise through; Creation of a knowledge base for capacity building of ecosystem actors; Creation of micro enterprise registry and performance rating systems; Engaging private sector for financial, market and technology support within the ecosystem; Research and policy advocacy to push through conducive legislations; Provision of technical support to project implementation agencies; Catalyzing the growth of Production Clusters Mission Antyodaya EDII is looking for suitable candidates on contractual basis for various positions to be part of the team for National Centre for Rural enterprises. Team Leads 1. Position: Team Lead Training content and pedagogy development Location : EDII, Ahmedabad Eligibility Criteria : A post graduate degree or equivalent in Commerce/ business administration/ finance / Rural Management /development /related discipline; and minimum of five years of relevant experience. Domain expertise to document and develop training materials and design training courses Capacity of design, administration and piloting/ administering appropriate capacity building package
2 Ability to develop curriculum, content and also to comprehend iterative nature of execution Proper Orientation active learning exercises [ for eg, Role plays, Group discussion, case studies, brain storming and skill practice] that provides opportunities to clarify, questions, apply and consolidate the knowledge and skills will be an added advantage The candidate with the above mentioned qualities should be necessarily involve in imparting training of rural communities in the area of either entrepreneurship / economic development program/ income generation activities. 2. Position: Team Lead Certification and Compliance Location: EDII, Ahmedabad Eligibility Criteria : A post graduate degree or equivalent in business administration/ Rural Management /development, Development Studies and related discipline; and a minimum of five years of relevant experience. 1) Competency on curriculum packages regarding syllabus, manual, trainer guide, training manual, trainer qualifications, assessment and testing guidelines etc 2) Understanding of domains such as Process, Professional knowledge and Skill, core skill and responsibility to ascribe to NSQF level; 3) Develop and standardise the processes and system during the course of certification and the understanding of industry sector or academic domain to identify the missing elements. 4) Understanding of experience of working on Vocational training, education, skill development courses its design, development, delivery, learners assessment and trainer certification; Industry Engagement linked to the vocational training will be preferred; 5) Ability to understand the business Environment and Understanding of stakeholder viz.; NSDA, SSC, Central Ministries, State Governments, Regulatory institutions viz.; UGC, AICTE, NCVT, Technical and school boards etc.; Training providers, Institutions, Institutes would be an essential criteria with the stakeholders in order to understand their problems and needs 6) Experience in Having Good communication skills and sound knowledge in Business Finance and its various component pertaining to promotion of a rural enterprises

Position: Team Lead Registry and performance rating / Business Analysis Eligibility Criteria : A post graduate degree or equivalent in business administration/ Finance / Rural Management / Rural development / Development Economics and related discipline; and a minimum of five years of relevant experience. Understanding of System Engineering concepts with essential skills and knowledge to assist and validate the objective of the rural Enterprise unit Written and Verbal Communication including technical writing skills to develop business cases Assist with internal consulting to any functional area of Rural Business looking to expand and /or improve on its operations. Assist in development of new ideas and conduct analysis on new market opportunities that rural entrepreneurs can benefit from Support in creation of business plan and also assist the business model its processes or systems for integration of decision making Person will play a pivotal role for analysing the data generated out of the performance tracking system and work with IT professional to improve the quality of support to development of training and implementation materials at various nodes SVEP project implementation [Senior CRP Ep, CRP, Mentors and BRC members and Entrepreneurs] 4. Position: Team Lead Research and Policy advocacy Eligibility Criteria: A post graduate degree or equivalent in business administration / Finance/ Rural Management/development and related discipline; and a minimum of five years of relevant experience. Experience in Value chain and Business development service Markets Understanding of Value chain Finance, inclusive market development local economic development and livelihood security Research experience in Business environment value chain Mapping, identification of bottle necks and opportunities Sound understanding of Social research methods, market research, social network and cluster analysis.
4 Experience in preparing policy brief and analyzing / Interpreting topical issues for advocacy 5. Position: Team Lead Financial Product Development Eligibility Criteria : A post graduate degree or equivalent in business administration with specialization in finance, Rural Management/development, Development Economics or related discipline; with minimum of five years of relevant experience. Experience of working with MFIs/banks Understanding of process for developing financial products for informal sector. Sound understanding of Business loan appraisal process followed by the financial institutions. Experience of launching and assessing new loan products for the new enterprise creation Good communication skills and sound knowledge in Business Finance and its various component pertaining to promotion of a rural enterprises Understanding of Social impact investors/debt funds. 6. Position: Team Lead Cluster Development & Networking Eligibility Criteria : A post graduate degree or equivalent in business administration, Rural Management/ development and related discipline; with minimum of five years of experience working in cluster development/collectives. Desired Profile: Applicant should have: 1. Proficiency in identification of Cluster highlighting its viability and sustainability; likewise preparation of strategic plan. 2. Adoption of Cluster approach for agglomeration of enterprises as per the implementation framework 3. Should be able to evolve a shared vision and strategy for enhancing competitiveness and productivity for the cluster as a whole. 4. Proficiency in mobilization of cluster actors for collective action and unleash the power of cooperation to survive and sustain in a highly predatory and competitive industry; 5. Specialize in identifying the right legal entity governance framework in order to catalyze the formation of a consortia or a special purpose vehicle;
5 6. Experience in Creation of forum for interaction between rural enterprises and industry players leading to market tie ups. 7. Experience in Networking with private industry player for appropriate technology transfer.
