New peple-first tls and enhancements further simplify yur wrk life and fster business success. Statutry updates ensure yur cmpliance with 2016 gvernment and payrll tax requirements fr the U.S. and Canada. A new, visual Organizatin Chart - that can be persnalized with emplyee images prvides the perspective and infrmatin yu need n yur wrkfrce structure and peple. Easily accessible by all emplyees via a QuickLink n the smart hmepage dashbard and frm the main navigatin menu (under UltiPr > My Cmpany > Organizatin Chart), Organizatin Chart displays a cmplete diagram f yur peer relatinships and reprting structures. Using intuitive features designed fr all wrkfrce levels, yu can: See infrmatin mst imprtant t yu; the default rg chart view utlines yur immediate peer reprting structure. Pan acrss and zm in and ut arund the rganizatinal diagram fr a better visibility. Exprt and print the rg chart as a PDF file. Search fr an individual in ther parts f the rganizatin t view his/her rg chart. Select an emplyee t view mre infrmatin - such as , phne number, jb, and manager - n an emplyee details card. T enable Organizatin Chart, g t UltiPr > System Cnfiguratin > Rle Administratin > select rle > Web Access Rights. Expand My Cmpany and select the View checkbx beside Organizatin Chart. 6 UltiPr 2016 Spring Release Highlights TAX COMPLIANCE The Spring Release delivers the federal, state, and prvincial statutry updates yu need - such as mdificatins t tax tables, state withhlding frms, Frm W-2s, T-4A slips, and RL-1 slips - t cmply with 2016 gvernment and tax reprting requirements fr the U.S. and Canada. Nte: T review all cmpliance details and any late-breaking UltiPr updates delivered with this release, please read the Release Ntes available April 25, 2016 n the Learning Center under UltiPr Releases > UltiPr 2016 Spring Release (v12.1.1) Release Ntes and Supprting Infrmatin. If necessary, additinal tax updates will be delivered as new requirements frm tax jurisdictins becme available. PAYROLL PROCESSING Flexible and autmated new UltiPr features simplify payrll prcessing: The Wage Attachment Gateway. UltiPr s new Wage Attachment Gateway (under UltiPr > Payrll Prcessing > Wage Attachment Gateway) serves as a single lcatin fr yu t quickly access and view all yur emplyees wage attachment infrmatin (mney deducted frm an emplyee's pay as the result f a curt rder r actin by an authrized agency, such as: creditr garnishments, student lans, bankruptcies, and child supprts). Yu n lnger need t navigate t each emplyee t see garnishment details and/r run a Business Intelligence reprt fr specific wage attachment data. The Wage Attachment Gateway lets yu: Quickly search data and/r filter - by emplyee, garnishment, r jurisdictin, fr example - t lcate infrmatin yu need. Select an emplyee s name t view the individual s Wage Attachment Details (garnishment, calculatins, and disbursement data). Print and/r exprt gateway cntents as an Excel r CSV file fr additinal use. Reduce manual and cumbersme payrll administratin by taking advantage f deductin stacking tls (available fr all U.S. emplyees, except fr thse residing in Kansas due t state regulatins). With the Spring Release, yu can easily set up multiple creditr garnishments and have them prcess autmatically (if specified) in an established rder accrding t the date yu, as an emplyer, receive the curt rder. T set up this prcess: 1. Select the new Include in deductin stacking checkbx under Add/Change Deductin Details. 2. Cmplete the Deductin Stacking Optins sectin. Enter judgment/rder details and specify cnditins such as: autmatically start withhlding nce certain specificatins are met and/r cntinue withhlding until there s manual interventin. When yu set up deductin stacking, yu can chse t have ne f the fllwing happen nce the first garnishment withhlding ptin (amunt, days f expiratin, r expiratin date) has been reached: A deductin fr the subsequent garnishment will autmatically be withheld frm the emplyee s next payrll. Yu receive an Alert within the Wage Attachment Gateway t take manual actin befre deductins fr the subsequent garnishment can start. T give user-rles access t the Wage Attachment Gateway and deductin stacking features, g t UltiPr > System Cnfiguratin > Rle Administratin > select rle > Web Access Rights and expand the new Wage Attachments Gateway sectin. Then, expand the Wage Attachments sectin as well. Frm there, select apprpriate checkbxes fr Wage Attachments Gateway, Wage Attachments, Wage Attachment Details, and Alerts. Enjy additinal autmatin fr emplyee salary planning when yu enable Use future dating (under UltiPr > System Cnfiguratin > System Settings > Display). What s great abut future-dating is that emplyee recrds are updated autmatically when the salary change effective date is reached fr: Salary increases One-time payuts Units Cmpensatin Plan Access. With the Spring Release, Cmpensatin Administratrs can nly view salary details and assciated budget infrmatin fr thse emplyees they have access t view based n the rle assigned t them by the System Administratr (under UltiPr > System Cnfiguratin > Security > Rle Administratin). This simply means that Cmpensatin Administratrs nly access relevant emplyee infrmatin when: Lking at individual cmpensatin plans. Viewing and editing emplyee payuts. Clsing and psting payuts fr cmpensatin plans (when the Cmpensatin Administratr has access t all emplyees in the plan). PERFORMANCE MANAGEMENT Inspiratinal Leadership Qutes by Simn Sinek. A new Yur Team s Time screen displays events that need a respnse, using the same categries available in the UltiPr prtal: all requests, new requests, mdify pending, cancel pending, and histry. T facilitate next steps, administratrs and supervisrs can als view the fllwing details n their mbile device: Cmments frm emplyees. Time-ff balances (befre and after apprval cmparisns). Alerts, which yu can set up via Time Management preferences in the UltiPr prtal, s yu knw when, fr example, mre than three emplyees have apprved time-ff n the same day.
