We achieve this mission through four strategies: We provide highquality activity camps for children via Kings Camps, employment opportunities for young people via Kings Recruit, professional services to the holiday and leisure industry via Kings Active and training and resources for volunteers via Kings Volunteer. 6 Kings Active were instrumental in helping Eurocamp develop a range of children s programmes that met market needs. Kings Active helped us to take our programmes from predominately passive art and craft activities to tailor-made, active and fit for purpose experiences that make us a favourite with families holidaying in Europe. We worked with their marketing and operations teams to develop a new type of children s programme, bringing energy, activity and participation. Our success with Eurocamp led us to work with others in the holiday sector, most notably with Cunard Line s QE2 and QM2 ships. More recently we have helped a number of holiday and leisure companies to improve the quality of their children s services resulting in a significant increase in the customer scores of Thomas Cook s Kids Clubs and Norwegian Cruise Line s Youth Programmes. Our innovative work with Thomas Cook and Norwegian Cruise Line saw their customer scoring increase by 20-points and has included the re-design of children and family programmes as well as the delivery of recruitment, training and audit services. With 25 years experience as practitioners we continue to be the champion of the child. 8 As the family holiday market has become more competitive and families demand more from their precious time away, we had to reinvigorate our Kids Clubs if we wanted to grow our share, and set ourselves apart from other operators. While we have always offered first class activity and entertainment programmes, as new trends and demands have emerged, we started a radical journey for improvement working with Kings Active. The end result is a brand new multi-activity Kids Club proposition across multiple destinations that meets the needs of the modern family. These families are already telling us that our clubs are now more engaging, fun and contemporary and ratings are phenomenal. We have also re-designed our staff training to make sure we offer the most outstanding activity leaders, sports coaches and childcare reps in the business.
