1 Base test package: All Inclusive Chemical/Analytical Food Grade Aluminum Alloys * NSF/ANSI 51 Stainless Steel Verification: Food Use * NSF/ANSI 2 (2012) & NSF/ANSI 51 (2012), Sec Performance Cycle Usage Test: 100 Cycles Drop Test (Excluding Glassware) Fit Test: Cap or Lid TS Edition 8.0 / Lab In-House Method TS Edition 4.0 / Lab In-House Method The result of this test is reported for reference only; the result is not rated. Sheet and extrusion aluminum alloys made from 1xxx, 3xxx, 4xxx, 5xxx, and 6xxx series alloys may be safely used for food contact. Casting alloys made from 218.x, 308.0, 319.0, 332.0, 356.0, 360.0, 413.0, B443.0, 514.0, or may be safely used for food contact. Food equipment shall have a minimum chromium content of 16% and shall be 200, 300, or 400 series alloy. Product shall operate as intended after 100 cycles. Note: Mouthpiece/lid shall withstand 100 cycles of opening and closing. Product shall have no sharp points or sharp edges and shall function normally after four drops from a height of 3 feet (0.91 m) onto a concrete vinyl-covered floor. Cap or lid shall fit securely to the body of the sample, and there shall be no leakage when samples designed to hold liquids or gels are properly closed and then inverted. Handle Strength Test: Container TS Edition 1.0 / Lab In-House Method There shall be no permanent distortion or damage resulting in loss of serviceability when the container, filled to capacity with its intended content, is lifted by its handle 25 times to a height that brings the bottom of the container to 12 inches (30.5 cm) above the floor. Dishwasher Test (Not apply on product with non-detachable fabric or leather cover) TS Edition 5.0 / Lab In-House Method Ther shall be no adverse effect such as corrosion or deformation when sample is placed in the dishwasher under normal setting for 10 cycles. Sample shall show no signs of graphic or print removal and no moisture build-up between double wall-constructed vessels. If a warning "Not Dishwasher Safe" is present either on the product itself or any packing accompanying the product then the test is not perform and the result is not applicable. Note: For FAIL result, a warning statement NOT DISHWASHER SAFE should be added. Handwashing Test TS Edition 5.0 / Lab In-House Method Product shall show no adverse effects, such as corrosion or deformation, at the end of five handwashing cycles with common household detergent. High Humidity & High Temperature Test TS Edition 7.0 / Lab In-House Method After exposure to heat and high humidity for a specified time period, 50C (122F) and 95% Relative Humidity for 24 hours, product shall continue to perform its intended function and remain cosmetically acceptable. Low Temperature Test TS Edition 3.0 / Lab In-House Method The sample shall continue to perform its intended function and shall remain cosmetically acceptable after being placed in the chamber at - 18C (0F) for 8 hours. Performance Test TS Edition 4.0 / Lab In-House Method Product shall perform as intended and meet all verifiable labeled claims. Salt Spray Test: 5% Salt Solution, 12 hours ASTM B117 (Modified) Year: 2011 Modification: Changed from 24 hours to 12 hours. The item shall function as intended, and there shall be no corrosion or major discoloration after 12 hours of exposure to a 5% salt solution. Note: Metal components only Stain Resistance Test TS Edition 7.0 / Lab In-House Method There shall be no observable residual staining on the sample after allowing the appropriate reagent(s) to set on the sample for one hour.

Because this test is for items which fall outside the scope and age grade (under 8 years of age) of this section of the CFR, the result of this test is reported for reference only; the result is not rated. Product should not exhibit hazardous sharp edges. Modification: as-received condition only. Because this test is for items which fall outside the scope and age grade (under 8 years of age) of this section of the CFR, the result of this test is reported for reference only; the result is not rated. Sample is assessed in as-received condition only, and any nonfunctional hazardous sharp edges are noted. Products intended for use by children under the age of three (3) (including removable, liberated components or fragments of said products) that are small enough, without being compressed, to fit entirely within the small parts cylinder, before and after use and abuse testing, are prohibited. Toys and games intended for use by children who are at least three (3) years of age but less than six (6) years of age that contain as-received small parts shall bear a prescribed safety alert symbol on the principal display panel of the package followed by this cautionary statement: "WARNING: CHOKING HAZARD--Small parts. Not for children under 3 yrs." Products intended for use by children who are at least three (3) years of age but less than six (6) years of age that produce or liberate small parts as a result of use and abuse testing are not required to bear the safety alert symbol or cautionary statement but the presence of the small parts shall be noted and reported. RECOMMENDATION: all products (not just toys and games) intended for children who are at least three (3) years of age but less than six (6) years of age that contain as-received small parts bear the safety alert symbol and cautionary statement, although it is only toys and games that are required to do so. There is no prohibition of small parts in products intended for children who are at least six (6) years of age. While fabric is technically exempt from the small parts regulation, 16 CFR 1501, there have been CPSC recalls of children s product due to fabric small part detachments.
