2 THE INTERNATIONAL WINTER ROAD CONGRESS and the accompanying trade fair is the one of the largest and most important events of the road industry in the world. Since 1969 the congress has been organised every four years by the World Road Association (PIARC). Every time this event takes place in a different part of the world. In 2018 the Congress and the Fair will take place in Gdańsk at the AMBEREXPO Exhibition and Convention Centre. Attending the congress will be experts, scientists, as well as practitioners from companies dealing with the problems of road maintenance in winter.
